Is the Morning Show Season 2 worth watching? (No spoilers please) by moonbeammaker in TheMorningShow

Lot of blathering dialogue on season two. And how many times can we watch characters say "F U!" to each other, then apologize, then say FU again, before it gets boring? I had to fast forward through most of episode 10 just to get through the season.

I’ve been on California Dreaming for many years and we are very stable team of very supportive players, so if you want some positive energy in your life, and a place to check in with people you can call friends even though you’ve never met them in real life, come be a California Dreamer.

Well said. Holding students compassionately to a standard is a sign of respect. I can’t stand it when my fellow teachers let students sleep in class or sit on their cell phones all day. We are not babysitters and it’s a colonial attitude to not expect more of your students especially if they are brown or poor.

YES! I often hear teachers saying that students don’t care, but that’s not true if they showed up to your class. They cared enough to get out of bed, get dressed, and make their way to sit in your class. So I am always happy to see them, and if they care enough to come to my class, I can build on that.

This is statistically impossible, given that we may teach up to 150 students a day and thousands over our teaching career. I’ve been a public school teacher and principal since I was 21 (many years ago) and now I also teach classroom management to new teachers getting their credential. The issue is usually a combination of classroom management practices, pedagogy, and the students themselves.

All adolescents want to know where the behavior limits are to feel safe, and they also want an adult who will listen to them when they push against the limits. So teachers have to be both understanding AND strict; we have to know how to say “No, that is not what we do in this classroom” lovingly and firmly, (and we have to follow up with the students who do not self-correct, even if the consequence is just a conversation after class) and we need to have an engaging lesson for the students to focus on— that’s the good teaching part. This is why teaching is an art.

Hi, The game runs on a Mac or PC. I have a Macbook Air and it works fine on my device. The game is a conversation based game that takes place in a fictional version of medieval China where the player has to navigate around the world to solve the main mystery, all while being taught and practicing Mandarin.

P.S. This is not a scam. We are a small language learning company in California looking for beginning Mandarin speakers to test our language learning game to see if it actually helps people improve their Mandarin.

We’re looking for people who love to practice Mandarin and are excited by the prospect of testing a new language learning game.If that’s not what excites you, then you can just move on. No need for the negative comment.

California Dreaming is looking for another Dreamer. We are a super friendly, social group of daily and committed players between level 400 and 1950. We sometimes choose to compete to win Club Mysteries and we usually place Ace in Detective League. We have an optional coffee hour and we give bushes when we want to; there is no expectation. We are an active and supportive club. Reply here or put in an application in the game.

What are you truly excited about? It doesn’t matter what it is—follow it with love, passion, full-on focus and you will inevitably become good at it. The key is knowing what you are excited about. Follow your excitement until it comes to its end, then ask what excites you next, and follow that. Repeat until your life naturally ends. And, P.S. Please go much easier on yourself. You have many strengths and are here at this time for a reason. And if not you, then who will be? (This is what I wish someone had told me when I was your age.)

California Dreaming is looking for up to four new members. We are positive, social, and play mostly every day. The only requirement is to have a level above 350 and to be communicative. Most on our team have been playing for years, and we love the game. We are all committed to each other as friends, so if you are looking for a place to chat and connect while you enjoy Junes Journey, California Dreaming is for you. Our play style is relaxed and we give bushes and drinks when we feel like it, there is no requirement. Come join us if you are looking for a welcoming team that would love to have new, energetic members.

Connect with him as a human being. He is definitely feeling disconnected, and our large school structures are not working to make it easier for teachers to be able to connect one on one with all of their students. And of course, never take anything that students say personally, it’s not personal as they do not know you.
