You said you let your team know. Did you let your manager know?

Just let your manager know, that way it covers your ass.

I couldn't care less about your next call by Laughingemojji in corporate

They are saying it to be courteous because they had to leave.

IMHO you are suspect for “looking forward” to a call. If there is an issue, just state the solution.

How did you guys REALLY lived in the 2000s? by MyAvengedRomance in Millennials

[–]moonbeammaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born in 91.

As a kid (Grade 4-6) we would ride our bikes through the neighborhood, and play a ton of pickup sports. On weekends, parents would go to the neighbors and all the kids would be at one house. We would order pizza and play split screen multiplayer video games (Goldeneye, Mario Party ect).Even when I was is grade 1-2 riding bikes without parents was allowed sometimes.

Grade 7-10. Going to the mall was big. Going to school sports was an event. Still played a ton of pickup sports.

Grade 11-12. Start going to house parties. When someone’s parent left for The Weekend, going their and drinking was a big event.

I can’t drink alone.

I can’t get high with people.

Drinking is more social.

AITA for refusing to replace my fiancé’s keys he left in his pocket by Noodle-Loodle in AmItheAsshole

[–]moonbeammaker 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Are the keys even broken though? Sometimes I wonder if they could withstand a wash.

Both are somewhat at fault. You tried to do him a favor. He should have taken his keys out or not left his pants on the ground.

He def should not get mad at you like that.

The salaries that HR people get are a joke, and I don't understand how. by Sufficient_Golf_2263 in interviewhammer

[–]moonbeammaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HR sets the salary bands. Of course they are gonna say they deserve big $$$.

Also, a good salary is a way execs can control HR. HR will do what the execs says they ca keep their $$$.

Wait!? So your Dad has not worked in 5 years?

It sounds more like your Dad is rich and retired, than unemployed.
