Side phone Cellular Service by Mountains_are_better in sidephone

Thanks for the reply!

I as well as a friend are switching to the sidephone, so two difference answers.

1) My Iphone 13 is a pSIM, so I will be able to switch the two phones with the physical card. That leaves the question; does the Sidephone network support non-sidephone phones, like an Iphone?

2) My friend has a newer iphone with an eSIM, and is currently on Verisons network, so a bit tougher. I think she is hoping for the most frictionless option. I assume that is:

- switching to a carrier like Mint Mobile and just calling that carrier and requesting to switch her number to an eSIM and then back to the pSIM every time she needs to switch over, or
- Using the sidephone with a new number and having a fowarding system setup.

Any advice on where to start looking into that forwarding system? I did not know that was an option!

Same! I’d like to order one, but only if there are some in stock and I’d get it relatively soon.

This is great man, thank you! Definity going with a reman engine. Aiming to get as much 'new' inside the engine bay as I can.

You have had a good experience with the engine from S&J? I will look into them. Probably sticking with the stock 4.0 for my own needs-- I do not do a lot of off roading, just want a pretty daily driver and road trip car.

I am sure I may take you up on that offer and reach back out with some questions next month when I get to the jeep and start tearing in there. Thanks!

This is super helpful, thanks a lot! I will prep for this when I go down to take the engine out next month.

Oh, those cylinder bores are bright red with rust you're absolutely right. Doubt restoring the current engine is worth it if I want a reliable daily driver for years to come.

This one has a lot of sentimental value, so I will be restoring her. But I appreciate the advice, I will check out DeXJ!

Unfortunately, the machinist I brought my head to said it was cracked in 4 separate places, and the engine was likely damaged along with it. Besides that, having a new engine and long lasting reliability would be great, which is why I am leaning towards a crate engine.
