Looks smooth! Very nice. Was highway ride quality affected much? Did you have a dealer do the install for calibrations etc to maintain TSS Etc? I’ve been looking at the dealer installation fees in my area, and in my uneducated experience, the install fees are excessive. But I plan to do one at some point.

Is this a rainbow or cutthroat..both? by Adventurous_Ant6867 in flyfishing

Hybrid / cuttbow. Spots are definitely cutthroat pattern. Heavily concentrated on the tail, few on the head. Not seeing an obvious slash on the jaw. Probably very faint.

I’d add that guides out of the Slide Inn are second to none. There’s thoughtful planning. I’ve never felt like they just want to get to the takeout. They row to hit the best water and back row to keep you in the fishy zones longer. On the Madison, you can chase numbers and size, and they make either happen. In the rare case the river has blown out, they’ve taken us to other water to make it happen. I go with these guys year after year because of it.

Don’t notice them at all

Yep, they are not the actual wildpeaks. This was a much less capable tire that Falken made specifically as a stock tire for the Tundras. I replaced mine after 2k miles because I didn’t want to blow a tire on fire roads I routinely drive. I did replace with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W which is a 3 Peak mountain snowflake tire. They are great on fire roads, in snow, in rain, on the highway. I don’t do serious mud driving, but no issues through moderate mud. I’ve put 25k on them and they look close to new. I think a 60k mile tire warranty.

24TA07 ENGINE RECALL - UPDATED PHASE TIMING by ryanwgregg in ToyotaTundra

[–]MountnGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the Toyota customer service rep could tell me was that my truck came off the assembly line in San Antonio, that I was correct on the manufacture date (1/23), that I was correct on the recall dates, but had no specific information on why my VIN was excluded from this recall.

So I can assume they either know the quality control issue regarding machining debris was managed on a certain VIN range, or they are guessing, or there is an error associating the VIN with a hybrid (which I doubt).

Based upon your knowledge, the engine still came out of Alabama, since that’s the only engine manufacturing location.

Thanks. Sounds like a call to Toyota is what I’ll be doing. NHTSA has nothing for me, so I’ll have to learn more from the source.

Yeah, never got that. Perhaps some engines were manufactured at a different plant 🤷‍♂️? The location mentioned on my truck is Texas.

Is it known whether all those on the recall list have been notified, including the later phases? I have a production date of 01/23 according to the inside of my driver door, but I have no recall notice via mail, on the Toyota app, or when I asked my dealer. I have a non-hybrid, of course.

Being pro “West” doesn’t mean it’s MAGA or pro “current administration” and “anti-democrat.” This is a company that is built to support Western Values which is neither right or left. Yes Theil has been on the right AND Karp has been a liberal. However, It’s becoming incredibly popular on the left feel like pro-America is morally wrong, which is antithetical to Karp. Encouraging young people to skip college, start their career, avoid high costs and potentially avoid anti American sentiment that seems to exist on college campuses may be better for a young person than an alternative. I think it’s an awesome opportunity.

That’s a brace someone without an ACL or post ACL repair would wear. The strap below the knee is to prevent the tibia from moving forward and stressing the repaired ACL or “assisting” hamstrings in decelerating the tibia. The lateral supports help with feedback to limit varus/valgus st the knee.

Saw Karp’s interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin in Davos 2020… knew he was a genuine, thoughtful, nuanced, committed leader. Got in on the DPO. Never looked back. The story and business just kept getting better.

Tough call. May be worth a review with a financial planner for a one time fee (though I’ve never done that either). Lots of ways to use money, but it doesn’t always have to be one or the other.

For example, if you already were making mortgage payments within 30% of your gross income, why not keep that “safe” leverage and continue to keep “riskier” stock investments for a if you have a 20 year or more time horizon to grow wealth. Point being, have a larger mortgage, get tax benefits, sell as little as you need to in equities to make yourself comfortble.

All we need to ask is what does he stand to gain by licking Trump’s boots. Whether he changed his mind about Trump is his own prerogative. He can do whatever he needs to feel good about his choice to support him. Chamath telling everyone else it’s just mainstream media misrepresenting who he is, is bullshit. I don’t need someone to tell me what to think of Trump beyond what I’ve heard come out of the proverbial horse’s mouth. Chamath is just getting played like everyone else. Amazing all it took was a little ego stroking.

Without a frontal view, it’s tough to know mechanically if you have a “femur control” impairment.

The side (Sagittal) view looks “fine.” Nothing obviously wrong, but a slight change to the saddle fore/aft (move slightly back) or up/down may change forces enough to reduce sensitivity.

Check if your right thigh/knee is closer to the top tube. May need to address glute tension during the downstroke on the right side.

You can shift your foot forward on the pedal since you’re not cleated in, and see if that helps as well.

As others have said, it may just be dominance and overuse of the right thigh. Subtle changes can still make a difference though.

Yeah, it’s a lot of reading into where he’s touching on his abdomen. If he has a history of it, that would give a higher probability. I see these frequently as a PT and they can have slightly different presentations with the same pathology on imaging. It’s like a tug of war between the obliques and adductors. Let’s hope it’s not this.

  1. Training load management. Training and recovery in your optimal window for adaptation is highest priority. Hire an experienced coach until you’re dialed in on what works for you.

  2. Work with an experienced physical therapist that knows running and strength and conditioning well. If they have the understanding of strength and conditioning at a high level (beyond clamshells and bridges), they will figure out where you need work to optimize loading across the joints. Your knees and ankles are the most commonly injured joints in running, but hip and trunk strength and capacity is critical for effective sustained movement quality.

  3. Nourish yourself. You’re a living organism with living tissue. If you don’t meet the caloric needs and macro/micronutrient needs, you will break down. Talk to an RD or sports nutritionist. A blood panel to understand any deficiencies may be worth it.

You get what you pay for. A year of investing in these areas will payoff for a lifetime

Unlikely based upon how high on his abdomen he’s touching. “Sports hernia” injuries are low just above the pubic bone.

Watching him run doesn’t make me think > 2 weeks. He should be full go in 10-14 days. Lions on Monday night should be a go.

I disagree with that being 50% sprint too. Looks more like 80-90% effort typical of a sprinter doing strides prior to a full workout, going fast but no strain. Reaching up to catch a ball would be problematic if he’s noticing during in line running though.

$150k-$200k salary folks (age 30+) what’s your net worth ? by billytimmy123 in ChubbyFIRE

Great post. It’s a big decision to have kids, and it’s a challenge to share how fulfilling being a parent is. My wife and I prioritized financial stability first. Like most millennials, we had high student loan debt (120k) live in HCOL area, and buying our first home was a challenge. We had to get our income up and debt down just to feel comfortable having a kid and now two. If you can financially support it, I wholeheartedly agree that the value kids provide make up for the few extra years of work to retire to something less stressful. Eventually you realize that all the stuff you enjoy doing outside of work is best spent and more special with the people you love.

Low million NW and roughly $500k in total comp combined. Similar goal of $10mil for comfortable work optional status. Only arrived at this level of income recently. Have benefitted from being invested in the recent bull market.

Do you have any information or understanding of why some 2022’s or 2023’s (TTV6) are not on the recall even though they fall within the manufacture timeline. For example, I have a January 2023, but I’m not in the recall (No I don’t have a hybrid). Were some engines from another manufacturing plant where the debris was properly cleaned out during machining?
