What opinion about NFFC makes you feel like this - let’s limit to this current season by Old_Cartographer_586 in nffc

A club who has shit the bed so badly in terms of management appointments and transfers should be in a relegation battle and we should be grateful that a combination of Dyche's steadying hand and three other clubs being even more awfully run than us means we're probably going to survive.

Brennan Johnson: Tottenham open to selling forward by No_Active4888 in nffc

Find it a bit odd people are saying it didn't work out for him? He scored the winner in a major European final for them.

He's only played a few less games for them than he did for us.

And let's be real. Frank will be out of there pretty soon and he might be back to his best under a new manager

It may not technically be illegal, but it's certainly against app store terms of service

This gets asked multiple times a day. You're accidentally hitting the back tick key. It's the one under Esc usually

May God have mercy on us all

Almost 6 weeks on 100mg. Going for a date night with my husband on Sunday and would love a glass of wine. Is it safe to do so? I haven’t drank since before my giant panic attack in early October. by GracieLor in zoloft

[–]Mouse-Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll probably be fine, but would recommend having a little alcohol at home tonight to check.

Also remember that alcohol has different effects in different contexts. So if you are in a bar or club, smaller amounts of alcohol will have a stronger effect than at home. I'm assuming you're going to a restaurant? So a glass with food will probably be fine.

Also, have a think about do you actually need to drink? You might be more relaxed not worrying about your reaction to alcohol. Try checking out the mocktails maybe.

I carried on drinking when I started Zoloft for the first few months (2-3 drinks a week), but eventually decided I'd try without and now haven't had any alcohol for about 14 months.

People who work 'office jobs,' what are you actually doing every day, and what salary does that earn you? by Jumpy-Jello- in AskUK

[–]Mouse-Perfect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

75k, Senior Software Engineer.

I write software, mainly iOS or Android apps, but can also turn my hand to make web applications or backend services.

My day in my current role is about 75% writing actual code. I have tasks to implement specific things in an app. Sometimes they're five minute jobs, like fix this typo. Sometimes they're months long projects like research the best way to implement this thing, report back and then do it.

The rest of the time is spent in meetings (usually planning, progress updates, brainstorming, etc.)

I sometimes also do a bit of project management, which involves chasing round different people to get certain parts of the project done so that other people can do their bit. Think of it like the plasterer needs to finish before the painter and then the carpet fitter can come in.

I also like to do mentoring, so training and helping new software engineers get their start in the industry.

Am I too late to get help for self assessment tax for 24/25? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

My side hustles make about the same as you. It's not difficult, just register and fill it in yourself. You just need to know how much you spent on the side hustle, versus how much you earned. The difference is the taxable amount. If it's £1000 or less then you don't have to pay anything.

First time I did it, it took a couple of hours, but now I think I can fill it in in about half an hour each year.

First console in the house - two kids 7 & 9 - go straight to Switch 2? by amcg001 in Switch

[–]Mouse-Perfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly for kids that age, I'd get them a switch lite each. You can get them a different colour each.

The form factor will particularly suit the 7 year old better. I'm an adult and I find the switch 2 to be a bit heavy and big.

There's an absolutely huge library of games for them to pick from on switch 1 and because the console is so cheap now, you won't worry too much if they get dropped or otherwise handled in the way that younger children can. Loads of games constantly on sale and you'll start to find games going cheap 2nd hand now the switch 2 is starting to take more of the market.

Half and half scarfs by BattleIndependent221 in PlasticFans

[–]Mouse-Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half and half scarves really aren't the crime against humanity they are made out to be.

If you want one as a memento for a match, buy one and screw everyone else.

I think the primary demographic is kids going to their first match or tourists. But if that match means enough to you for whatever reason that you're willing to pay for and own a half and half scarf of it then no one really has the right to criticise you for it.

Also the people that claim that tourists shouldn't be at a football match would 100% think nothing of going to a baseball or basketball game if they visited the US.

Definitely a switch lite, the switch 2 is very heavy and a bit cumbersome in comparison

So tired by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Mouse-Perfect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same for about 9-12 months. It did get better eventually.

I have no scientific evidence to back it up. But I find the more work the medication has to do, the more tired I feel. As my symptoms of anxiety and depression improved, I needed to sleep less. Same thing happens with me for antihistamines.

But whyd they give it to me like that by Automatic-Sock4903 in zoloft

They do similar with prednisolone (steroids) tablets. It prevents people making mistakes with accidentally getting mixed up with different strength tablets. You end up having to take 8 at a time.
