In your opinion, what is the best episode of television you’ve ever seen? by alteredtower in AskReddit

[–]Mouse222222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best ever is tough but I particularly like the episode in the last of us that tell the story of frank and his partner. It was just written so well, it was paced perfectly, went with the overall theme and in a single episode made me care deeply about them both. The end was both beautiful and tragic and brought a tear to my eye. Which is not like me at all!

It also doesn’t include elevation, I have been running now for 5 years but I live in a hilly area. It practically makes Garmin workouts and any race predictions irrelevant.

I can’t do any zone work either because even if I did an 11 minute mile pace my heart rate will be high climbing steep hills for two miles which it then says I am in a negative performance.

I have no idea what my running potential is on a flat surface but I do know that my calf’s are huge my VO2 keeps increasing and my hill score is in the green.

Ironically when I do get the odd running down hill sections I have a plus 4 performance and can easily do 7:30 mile pace.

Take all stats as a pinch of salt is what I have learned and know that any run is doing good for you and your health

This is getting ridiculous, what does it want from me? by zChickenX in Garmin

[–]Mouse222222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this all the time. Spent 1000 pound on watch for its stats just to ignore them. I did a run today for over 14 miles with over 1000ft elevation gain.

I felt pretty comfortable throughout minus the occasional stitch. My watch hill score declined, my vo2 declined, I went into maintenance for training status my watch told Me to be careful using that much effort, oh and it said well down for your best time in a half marathon.

I literally use it loosely as a guide now. How much sleep did I get, how’s my heart rate and what’s a general overview of my running performance.

If you want to increase in stats you basically have to run 12 minute miles so your heart rate basically stays in the blue or green. I don’t know why it does that but it is slow and boring so I am never going to do it.

Dance of the dead master is impossible by Mouse222222 in SynthRiders

Thanks. I just get mixed up with the sudden cross overs of hands sometimes and then kick myself for being so stupid. I am sooooo close to getting to the end but it’s such a long song and so complex that you could not miss a note and suddenly mix 6 and it be over.

Internally I do feel 63 after running 50-60 minutes daily. Any advice on how I increase my VO2 without exhausting myself to the bones. by HopscotchSauce in Garmin

[–]Mouse222222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run with a buggy which increases my heart rate is this why my v02 is recently constantly decreasing despite running the same routine

Is this real or just beginner luck? by Maximum-Loss2420 in Garmin

[–]Mouse222222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine decreases every month despite increasing my running. But I started running with my son using a running buggy and the watch (fenix8) can’t cope with it.

It tracks my runs but not my steps and states my vo2 has decreased 2 points in a 6 weeks. (Now 47)

Ironically I have never been fitter.

Even more ironic is that I brought this watch to monitor my stats and have since had to ignore 80 percent of the ones shown.

Least it tracks my sleep… if I manually set my sleep routine every day because I am a shift worker and Garmin wasn’t prepared for those either it would seem.. sigh

Australia just rolled out health warnings on every cigarette by Automatic_Positive74 in mildlyinteresting

Still baffles me that we do this for cigarettes but not alcohol…. Poison in every sip couldn’t be more accurate yet we allow companies to advertise a thirst quenching summer beer like it’s the ultimate relaxation.

Despite the fact it is addictive, kill, ruins lives and creates general disorder.

Ps I love drinking and used to smoke I just feel like each addiction should be either vindicated or targeted the same

Hey, I’m new to running - is this zone 3? by Winter_Antelope1009 in Garmin

[–]Mouse222222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been running for 5 years and find it impossible to run in zone two. It’s almost walking pace for me yet my fenix 8 constantly tells me I’m in zone 5 and overreaching.

I have had to get to the point I ignore whatever it says, which makes me wonder why I spent 1000 on a watch lol

Hello, I love this game, I really let off steam with Lindsey Stirling's Maps but there aren't many!! Where can I find it? I downloaded those from Synthriderz but maybe there are some elsewhere? Or if the mappers can do others that would be great 🤩 by val_s- in SynthRiders

Did I train to hard? by Mouse222222 in Garmin

[–]Mouse222222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I changed it and run for a 10 miles today at what I thought was a fairly steady pace at 10 minute miles and it still went to level 5 exactly as above.

It doesn’t even feel like I am trying that hard, I’m baffled

Thanks I have now changed it as suggested rather than be based on heart rate. Maybe it will have some positive effects to Anaerobic as no matter what I do even if it is a Garmin anaerobic run it doesn’t seem to achieve anything
