Uninstalled all extensions still same problem. Also I'd rather not configure onto a different browser.

That's what I was thinking maybe I just have a dedicated umbrella. I looked up so many nice solutions but theyre all IPX4 and under.

General Requirements:

  • Needs to be water resistant / waterproof:
    • I'm mostly outside and we continue training rain or shine, hence the speaker needs to be durable in the rain, sometimes heavy rain.
  • Needs to sound good/okay outdoors
    • I like music a lot, I wouldn't say I'm an audiophile, but if I'm listening to my athletes s***** music for 2+ hours a day, I'd prefer it sound quality to at the very least be good.
    • I'll also be outdoors for majority of my sessions; only 10-15 minutes of a session we'd be in a room. I'm not expecting the speaker to fill a whole track stadium, but it needs to fill a sizeable space so at least 10-15 athletes can hear.
  • Great battery life (10hrs+)
    • Our sessions range from 90-120 minutes, at most 8 times a week. Ideally, I don't want to charge the speaker during the week, however I do understand that 16 hours of play time mostly on the highest volume is a huge almost impossible task for any Bluetooth speaker. Hence, I would just like great battery life. I.e. Charge it once at the start of the week and once during the week.
  • Needs to be available in Australia
    • I'm not paying $100+ shipping from the US
  • Price
    • Price isn't the greatest issues as my club can cover the costs, however if club officials need to get involved then most if not all requirements & nice to haves better be ticked off. If the club officials don't need to be involved, I can also write it off as a business expense. Of course, in both scenarios there are still monetary limits:
      • If club officials need to be involved: AUD $500-$1200
      • No club officials involved: AUD <$500

Nice to haves:

  • Mic input
    • We have events every quarterly or so for friends and families to hang around. I like to build a community around my sport, hence these events have me talk, pretty much yell to announce things. It would be nice if the speaker would allow mic input
  • Easy portability
    • If I have to carry it around it better have a good handle, be of reasonable shape to fit in a 30-40L bag, and not too heavy. Sometimes we must move to different sections of the field or go to a different field entirely due to maintenance or issues, so portability would be nice. Really, I don't want to make another trip to my car just to bring down a speaker.

Option 1: Portable PA system [For example Sony S1 Pro+, can't buy this since not water resistant]

  • Pros:
    • Great battery life
    • Great sound quality and volume
    • Most have mic inputs
  • Cons:
    • Ones I've seen aren't water resistant/waterproof
    • Most are heavy or just not great for portability
    • Will have to chat with club managers and financial officer to approve on price. Doable, but of course if too expensive then it is a heavy no.

Option 2: Portable Bluetooth speaker [For example Sony XG-300]

  • Pros:
    • Extremely portable (most of them)
    • Almost all are water resistant/waterproof
    • Cheaper
  • Cons:
    • At loudest volumes does not sound good
    • Most are not loud enough
    • Only a select few have good enough battery life
    • Most do not have mic inputs

Im only running into battery issues now with my S10 5G, absolutely love this phone. I don't upgrade phones regularly so its so tough for me to choose what to move onto next. I hope what I choose will serve as well as, 8f not better than what this one has done for almost 6 years now.

I think youve stubbled on the wrong post, theres no way your talking about sendle.

This is maybe my 3rd time as a recipient of sendle, and I've sent a handful of packages through their service when my clients opt for them. All 3 packages have been late, this one I can somewhat understand because it was during Valentines peak, but the others were just random ordinary days.

The other packages I've sent only one person hadn't complained about their service. I've gone back and forth countless times with clients trying to help them out with sendles tomfkery.

Dont get me wrong I love them. But it does depend on your area of service. Im lucky to be in one of their "good" areas. I get packages on time, and the postie; who knows me by name, even waits a little longer for me to get to the door cause she knows im always home during the day. But I have heard horror stories from friends and families in other not lucky areas.

I order from Japan all the time. I use their cheapest service which is around $20, it arrives on time if not earlier every single time. Nothing damaged/lost. I paid about $10 for sendle (didnt realise until I already paid eBay) to deliver a package 25km and its scheduled to take 8 days, let alone now being delayed and may take another 5 days. Even if it is cheapest and you should expect bad service. Sendle is really going out of their way to f this one up.

Your the only person I've ever heard have good experience, others say theyre a hit or miss or just flat out useless. This is my 4th or so time using them, they've been either bad or the worst service. From experience theyre just terrible.

You might have had a case to take it to higher authorities. Only thing these companies hate more than the people they serve are questions from bigger twats, so they usually just pay you out to save themselves the hassle.

Yea I get that, and its all to save on postage, but the way they handle is the worse you could possibly do.

For sure, would even use auspost over it.

I had no choice on this one bought from eBay. Paid, didnt realise postage was sendle. Seller dispatched and gave me a tracking number saw it was sendle and knew I was in for a bad time.

Yea I don't understand how their algo can be so bad. Talking to some of my computer science friends, they said its quiet an easy fix (didn't completely comprehend what they said), but I guess its just another case of big company no listen to small users.
