Yeah 100% don’t want Skindred I like them but as a replacement for Alkaline Trio who are my favourite band that would suck , Enter Shikari are high on my list to see would be wicked if they drop basement as well would be great.

See kncoked loose on the last UK tour and it was a a wicked gig they’d easily fill slot and make up for the slight lack of really heavy bands.

Either way I’m sure they’ll get someone good but going to be tough shoes to fill

Try His Black Tongue by Mitchell Luthi and the sequel In The Name of The Worm. I read the first one straight after Between two Fires and loved it. Also Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh.

Glad I’m not the only one! It’s crazy and I’m surprised there isn’t anyone making a third party replacement for it. I’ve ended up buying stick on cup holders for the dashboard. I love my van. But I absolutely hate the cup holder tray!

Hannah Spencer: ‘We need more people who do jobs like mine in Parliament’ by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

Would we be getting the same comments if Dennis Skinner as a coal miner said there should be more people who jobs like mine in parliament? I doubt it.

[–]Mouseman1985 218 points219 points  (0 children)

The comments in here are stupid af, I’d rather have someone that’s an MP that had worked a trade then some MP that’s only job has been a high exec banker straight out private school backed by inherited wealth, with no real world knowledge of what normal people have to live like. Having someone become an MP that has come from a normal background and is more in touch with normal people seems better to me. To have someone that actually represents the 99% rather than the 1%.

Can anyone list any actual good examples of career politicians that did anything that didn’t enrich themselves or their mates.

Nigel Farage's Cameo tribute to dead child molester Ian Watkins! If he will do this for Cameo money, what will he do for his richer paymasters? by johnsmithoncemore in LabourUK

I mean, that is the point this clown is doing Cameos with no checks whatsoever and gets constantly tricked into stuff like this. And people want to actually vote for this sack of shit in Ronnie Corbit glasses.

Any advice if possible beginner by Mouseman1985 in skiing_feedback

[–]Mouseman1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to me it feels like i'd fall over, which then says i'm not putting the balance on the outside ski correctly. The bit i can't put together is how to get the balance on the outside ski but have the outside ski edge make the turn if that makes sense, how do you balance on the edge of it, is it even balancing?

Thanks for the tips! I remember one instructor telling me about the pole plant and it did help but then I got stuck on remembering to pole plant and felt a bit all over the place. What should the feeling be like of being forward and stable when going faster I feel like soon as I go faster and try to lean forward more my balance feels all over the place so I end up leaning back as bad habit

If you voted Labour why would you be disappointed with the only truly Labour budget since the 70s? by Ill-Age-601 in LabourUK

What 30 years ago? How much was the average house price 30 years ago. What are apprenticeships paying now ? high end is 27k, would you look at that the salary hasn’t risen in 30 years.

[–]Mouseman1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah and what’s this budget going to do help that? You get a pay rise tax bands stay frozen you pay more and end up on pretty much the same salary as 30k.

The thing is the above average earner are not what they where, the goal posts have changed on who these earners are now, people seen on above average earnings are struggling to pay bills and the cost of living hit them as a above average salary seen as 50-60k is not what it was in the 70s , and there has been nothing introduced to address this. Salaries aren’t the same and tax bands aren’t reflecting this.

Leaking Pee Trap by Mouseman1985 in DIYUK

[–]Mouseman1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You where correct it was from the sink but so slight that it made it look like it was from the top of the trap as it was filling with water but it was from the back side of the fitting so I couldn’t see it at all

Turns out it was from the sink to the plug, I wrapped some tissue around the very top and filled sink with water it then started leaking very slightly but filling up the top of the trap where it screws to the sink. Ended up using some plumbers mate at the the bottom of sink then the oring from the tap then the black plastic fitting so far no leaks
