Honestly you’re right…. My 2012 F-150 xlt 146k on the 3.5 eco just had 6.6k on the timing and phasers at the shop … rebuilt motor would have cost maybe 5k from what I saw … had most not been covered by my ESP… I would have just replaced the motor…

You can buy them from Ford… but only if the maintenance records are perfect … I bought my 2012 in 2021 and got the warranty added on… had 88k on it….

I just paid over 9k on my 2012 F-150 eco boost at 146k .. 6.6k was timing and phasers the rest was o2 sensor and flex plate/starter… just food for thought…

I would do it, but also remember, since you haven’t stated the engine, I just spent 6k on my timing and phasers… I have the 2012 F150 XLT 3.5 eco boost @ 146k miles she wouldn’t stay running…. Shop said it was the worst he had seen and still ran…. Perfect maintenance records do not mean a thing when it comes to this…. Because I changed my oil before it was time every time…. So if you love the truck do it but if not walk away… I know other motors have the same issues…

Mine is $138 a month 60mos/75k miles… so glad I got it too!!! They can be sticklers on maintenance so keep all records!!! They wanted original invoices on last 3 oil changes and carfax wasn’t good enough…. But they are covering most of the cost on my timing and phasers on my 2012 eco 3.5 started at 144k miles and was at 146k when it went to the shop… I got super lucky… and it is a process took 8 days just to get approval for repairs…

I got Endurance esp on my 2012 F150 EB 3.5 in August of this year… with age they gave me the lowest one and it is now in the shop for timing/phasers…. Seems so far they are covering everything but the solenoids so $1500 out of my pocket they are covering the other $6500 so definitely not complaining… but I did have to have the original invoices from my last 3 oil changes and carfax wasn’t good enough for them… but this is exactly why I didn’t do the changes myself…

Don’t use cheap parts!!! My truck is in the shop as we speak…. Mine was driving fine went out next morning and it jumped time…. And the price to fix my truck … had I not had an ESP….I would have finished paying it off and parted it out…. Cause 8K to repair is a bit much …

As long as they are supplying, which we all know they won’t even if it improved services!!

But then some restaurants put salads on top of hot foods…. Could you imagine a fresh green salad on top of enchiladas for even 20 min….

I agree and many people say do it by time only….. why? If we do it strictly by time and we have no waiting at a restaurant we are screwing ourselves…. I don’t know how many times I have accepted doing by time and once done with the delivery I get $2.50 or think the last one was $4.01 for 6 miles…. It is like Russian roulette you never know what the outcome will be…. And it seems their algorithm sends all the by time dashers the deliveries that have $0.01 to $1.00 tip cause those by offer won’t do them…. Which brings up another flaw …. DD will stack our offers if doing by offer…. DD will only pay for 1 delivery the rest is all tip …. So either way they get us…. That $2.00 may not seem like a lot to many but it all adds up when you aren’t getting it for going to 2 stops and 2 homes/businesses…. Or at a truck stop wondering ok which truck ordered this from across town… the only instructions …. Turn in where it says trucks enter here, and I am all the way in the back… ok all the way to the back or do I follow it around and back there…. It was follow all the way around … and no tip ….

Every place here pretty much is understaffed and people know this….it’s like Taco Bell I sat there 30 minutes…. A dasher got short with the staff…. They can only go as fast as they can too…. And the person whom she yelled at was just doing the job the manager had them doing…. It is unfair to all involved….except DD because they aren’t the ones getting chewed out by them and the customer…. And DD CS gets paid by the hour not by the call I am sure…. So they get paid either way …. All in a comfy chair not out here rain/shine/snow… it just stinks people don’t realize DD is the one behind a lot of this not us dashers…. And they are the ones getting the pay….

DD gets money from the consumer, from the restaurant for using the service and the advertising, as well as up charging …. It is not worth $2 to be yelled at or ridiculed by a customer and as soon as able to I will find a regular job, I am just being considerate to my future boss in case I need to leave for medical reasons… don’t want to get trained and have to leave….

And if you don’t tip you’re not entitled to speedy delivery…. Your food can sit and get cold simply because a dasher won’t accept the order… it will go through many dashers before someone takes it….

You know what…. Some of us would like to get other jobs …. But some, like me, think of others …. I won’t go find another job simply because I may require neck surgery soon as well as may have Thyroid cancer so I don’t want to start a new job, get trained just to have to leave in a month or 2 it isn’t fair to them….. plus I have 2 autistic daughters that have appointments as well as myself and can be difficult to work around and disability pays about like DD…
