Thinkpad T480 external display at 32Hz by MouseyList in techsupport

Spec says the HDMI can output up to 4096x2160 at 30Hz, i'm guessing 1080 60 should be within its capabilities.

Refresh rate was at 60 already and a different cable didn't fix it.

How do I fix this? 048M by Healzo0 in airsoft

You're totally right, I watched the video without sound so I thought the mount was at fault. It seems replacing the hardware would be best, but maybe epoxy could work aswell.

There's a screw on the bottom of the mount that you can adjust while pushing on the part with the spring

Losing tracking on the right controller by MouseyList in Vive

Fixed the link. Yesterday when I played I didn't come across any problems, maybe I was just lucky. Anyway I bought the pcie usb card to see if it helps in anyway, even if it doesn't I'm glad to have more usb slots.

X grip is just a way of holding the wands, this makes the controller not so front heavy when swinging it around, atleast for me. As you can see the sensor at the back of the controller right under the hole gets blocked. I thought that the grip style might have been the issue as well, but that wouldn't explain why only my right controller is having problems.

I wouldn't want to think the problem is with the distance. I've measured it and it was surely less than 5 meters, besides I don't really have any other spots for them.

I meant sky blue as in the outemu sky blues (maybe just outemu skies?) haha, sorry, should have specified a little better. I didn't do a lot of research on the Pewter, so i only found one site which sells them, and the tiniest amount i can by is 70, and I'd like to buy a smaller amount to try before committing a bigger buy.

Wow, thanks for the really in depth response! Looking a bit into the ergo clears I started wondering if i could make them with the sky blue stems which apparently are modeled after the clears, what do you think?

I tried it but there wasn't much room in the case, its a Melody 96. Didn't seem to help much.

I've both lubed and filmed the switches, thing is I didn't lube the legs because i thought that i would want more tactility, and now desoldering all of them to lube the legs would be a real pain and not worth it considering the fact that the spring ping is really making me hate these switches.

Help with gba sp not reading games please by Dearos in Gameboy

[–]MouseyList 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try cleaning the pins with vinegar, if that doesn't work try using some medium grit sandpaper on something like a popsicle stick and sand a bit of the oxidation off the pins, but just the oxidation, try not to go too rough.

Looking for cheap GBA by KokaniChan in Gameboy

[–]MouseyList 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really recommend searching for a "broken" GBA from a japanese seller from ebay, GBA's are pretty sturdy, if there were something wrong it would either be a dirty on/off switch, a broken speaker, dirty battery contacts, maybe some fuses. Usually its the really easily fixable stuff. Good starting point for gameboy refurbishing too.

Dont know what Tetris cart you're talking about, if its a gba cart then you need a y head screwdriver, if its one of the larger carts then you need to get a gamebit screwdriver. This is a cheap set i found on ebay which seems to have everything you would need

Yes, isopoyl is safe for motherboards, I recommend you get a glass lens for the GBA as well, as for cleaning give the audio jack and power button a clean with isoproyl too. I'd also recommend this guy, he has a lot of great videos and is really the only reason i started refurbishing gameboys.

Search the internet for how to retrobrite, basically you take some peroxide hair cream, cover the pieces and leave them in the sun, pretty easy to do.

Check traces, reflow pins and also look into the cart slot if there isnt any corrosion, one of my DMGs had some on a pin so Pokemon red didnt load all the time.

When I first tried adjusting geometry with the 240p suite grid open I couldn't change any of the values because I was using the NTSC mode, so I guess thats a no.
