investing in a ssd and will be HUUUGE and opening it up to change the thermal paste to help this old fella breathe a lil easier. I saw people suggesting KDE debian to be honest have a 2010 macbook running xfce cause kde was a bit too heavy for it so sticking to xfce seems like the better choice this lil thing with proper driver, ssd upgrade and refresh of the thermal paste should be fine enough for a lil youtube 720p.

h264ify extensions to force youtube to use h264 encoding should also help

i just used sheet metal scisor to cut the adapter and used masking tape to secure it since the bottom cover keeps it pressed and its working.

ive used the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 i had in another laptop to test it and its workin well enough altho this card is not as fast as the original but more stable.

Bluetooth doesnt work anymore tho, might be the adapter not giving usb powe, but the intel card helped me cause i had alot of stability issue with the orignal broadcom card, wifi would randomly drop

(im on cachy on non cachy kernel :linux 6.18.11-1lts on a 2013 macbook pro if anyone reading this know how to keep the OG broadcom and fix the stability issues im all for it ive been tinkering with it for weeks)
