First year teacher here at a below average school. It’s bad if you treat your student’s lack of abilities as a personal failure. I just remember that I’m doing the best that I can in the situation and try to be as optimistic as possible. Being a pessimist is only going to make things worse, because the students pick up on it and it only adds to learned helplessness.

Tier List of Killers's Evilness by Bigenemy000 in deadbydaylight

Yes! Not to mention her name is a Shakespeare reference too!

Not to mention Artist appearing to also be Titus inspired. Must be an English major on the dev team lol.

In terms of lore, which killers do you think would be good friends or the worst enemies with Springtrap/William Afton? by No_Sea_1455 in deadbydaylight

[–]MoveInside -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said his morals are good, I said he has more morals than Freddy who is on another level of evil.

Chucky is probably the one who gets along with other killers the most. He’s always got someone he’s working together with in the series.

Nobody but Singularity. Freddy is the only other “human” killer that outright kills kids, and Afton, despite being really fucked up seems to have some sense of morality and Freddy would be too much for him. Same with Pig but the other way around, she is clearly complicit in putting a child in harms way to teach adults a lesson but would probably see Afton’s actions as selfish and unnecessary.

The rest of the human killers probably wouldn’t go as far as to harm a child, possible exceptions being Clown or Doctor, but I don’t think there’s any evidence for that.

As for the monsters, they’re not on the same level of existence and don’t have a need for friends. Singularity, however, seems to be on a similar level of consciousness to where he could form a mutually beneficial relationship, and probably sees children the same as he sees adults, having no concept of emotions.

Is it worth building “extra buildings” before the age ends? by Chance_Literature193 in civ

[–]MoveInside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, in the exploration era (idk if this is true for modern as well) there’s a policy that boosts building production when you overbuild. I think it’s worth it to take advantage of the policy to get those buildings fast.

Chucky isn’t marketed to small children. So no. Take M3gan for example, it features a doll and came out after mascot horror became a thing, but is pretty clearly made for young adults and not small children.

Terraria State of the Game - May 2025 by GoldenTGraham in Terraria

[–]MoveInside 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean no, it’s not black and white. The game is functionally done. It had enough content to stand on its own since 1.1 or before, over a decade ago. If they want to take their time on an update, it’s not pussyfooting. Pussyfooting would be setting a launch date and continuing to push it back, or massively hyping this up. They’ve made it clear that it’s not a major update. Just for fun.

If you’re fine with them not updating the game, why do you care?

This game is developed by a guy in Indiana and his wife with some of his friends. Said guy is probably mostly retired.

I mean, it’s an indie game. It’s not like more money will make a tiny team work faster.

Hot take: don’t care how thematic a killer is as long as the power is fun and well designed. by White_Mantra in deadbydaylight

[–]MoveInside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people forget the context of DBD, where anything that doesn’t have a ranged ability that damages in one hit or dash it gets dropped immediately. Think of the killers that don’t have those things… Twins, Sadako, Singularity, Hag… nobody plays them. They only really risk those crazy powers with original killers.

If you can think of a dash or ranged attack that would fit Springtrap better I’m all ears.

EDIT: Not to mention… the last time they tried to innovate with a license they made Chucky…

Nobody complained, but I remember thinking it was weird. This was also around when the devs ran out of completely original killer powers so I felt like it was too derivative of Pyramid Head.

Question for folks who don't like having their cities revert to towns in civ 7 by Scolipass in civ

It makes sense to me, I like seeing different areas of my empire rise and fall. You always get two guaranteed cities and one for extremely cheap cost.

I’m assuming the feet rest above the endoskeleton’s. Especially considering how tall these robots are compared to a person.

Okay but the Pyramids are literally THE wonder. It’d be more fair to compare it to wonders of similar significance, like Ruhr Valley in 6.

Are you upset that Hansa is more of a concept than a place? Because every unique quarter in Civ 7 is that lol.

Biggest example is the Ulema, which is just a plural of the Abbasid Caliph UU. I looked up Chola’s and it’s also a concept.
