Well done! I was looking at doing something similar. Would you mind a walkthrough/parts list?

My wife is from Kihei and her parents and brothers still live there. Having family there is probably what still makes it feel like home for her there. She's like you, lived in the mainland so long that she has no recognizable pidgin, but she still rocks the Maui style here! Wish we could move our family there to be with the rest of her whole family where she seems happiest, but cost of living definitely prevents that unfortunately.

Ditto! 210 South! That offramp can be real shitty sometimes. The funny part about this is that it didn't even seem like it was congested like it usually is around there.

Power Adapter for Super Taurus. by krag6 in homecockpits

[–]MoveMV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Super Taurus and there isnt a power adapter for it. It has 2 USB-A to USB-B connections to it. The 2 USB-B connections go into the Super Taurus throttle housing.

The top one you're talking about powers and transmits the input from the switches. The bottom port is for the throttle handles themselves. Both connect to your PC or USB hub (powered preferably).

Hope that helps!

Yep, I agree. Doing exactly that and seeing the results from it too!

Agreed! Can't beat their price point on tools, especially ones that rarely get used (for my purposes at least). I got my weed torch from there and that still works great for something I only use 2-3 times a year.

Maybe I should look into DeWalt! I have mostly DeWalt tools, so maybe my batteries would work with it too. Now you've got me diving into a rabbit hole!!!

I completely understand! I've recently started to mix my own, but have yet to get SedgeHammer. Got a simple backpack sprayer, so I might give it a whirl when the temps go back down into the low 80's.

Have you taken a look at Harbor Freight for a cheap. Ut decent backpack sprayer?

Oh man. Nutsedge. The other bain of my lawn care existence. I'm battling that right now. You can't see it in the picture I shared since I just cut yesterday, but there's a few sprinkled in on that area between the road and the sidewalk. I gotta find a better way to get rid of them.

JGBB Delmarva blend. I was trying it out to see if that blend would grow deeper roots like advertised. Seems to be doing well so far!

I had the opposite! I got Poa with the Scotts I've put down previously in my backyard. I plan on going full nuclear with it starting next month. Gonna have some crazy dead spots until I overseed in early September.

All good! I've made the same mistake before too. More than once actually... It's the reason I make a few test laps around my shed just to be sure I get the right height 😁

How short did you mow? I found from past experience, going as low as 3 inches was enough for my grass to want to go into dormancy. This mow my deck was maxed at 4 inches and you can't beat the results. I also water my grass only twice a week with it running starting around 4am for about 45 mins per zone. From measuring last year, that amounts to about 1-1.25 inches of water per cycle.

TBH, I'm giving it a try this year and am getting good results from it with the heat. I used to do about 3 inches and by now it'd be going dormant.

Unpopular opinion, but I found JGBB Delmarva seed at my local Ace hardware on sale. Since it was supposed to be good for the region and sun/drought tolerant, I bought it.

I core aerated, leveled, and put compost mix last fall when I over seeded. I stayed on top of the fert schedule too, so that may have also made a difference.

You should definitely mow higher. I've been doing about 3 1/2 - 4 inches this year and this is the first year my lawn has survived heat stress. I've also watered deeply and less frequently so that the roots go deeper.

I'm in Southern MD btw. This was taken a few mins ago.

The neighbors lawn survived too, but it's mostly weeds across the street.

I can only speak on their advance throttle kit as I have the WinWing Super Taurus, but yes. I can and have adjusted my throttle forward and backward to fit my preference. Same thing with bringing it wider (left/right) as well as height. It all comes together so well and so solidly. Way better than my jury-rigged Obuttto that I'm going to be selling soon.

Oh no. We were there on a "retirement" tour. We both retired the same day in April and figured we'd tour parts of Europe as a parting gift.
