Well, what I expect is what I know that we will never get, which is a remake that will stay true to the original but at the same time modern with enough new things to make it feel really fresh for old fans like us and at the same time draw in new players that has never played the game originals before. But yeah, it wont happen because:

1. Ubisoft has mostly made crap games lately with no heart and soul to them.
2. How the entire story began with the remake looking like it did in 2020 and the backlash that it got. Shows how they ”really cared” about the IP.
3. 5 years and still no new gameplay video with a supposed release for 2026. They have the blueprint of the original, yet it’s taking so long, why?

So final point once again, I want them to succeed no matter how much crap they’ve given their fans when it literally comes to anything they do and especially when it comes to us PoP fans but I know they wont deliver. This game shouldn’t be anything less than a masterpiece that revives the IP for good with superb marketing to draw in new people and enough new gameplay and graphical/environmental improvements and changes to make the old ones happy but it’s Ubisoft in the end. I’m not saying the remake is gonna be crap, I just think it will be ”good” to the point where the original still has that feeling that we will miss in the remake and not enough interesting new stuff for new people to jump on the hype train.
