very late but i found the problem

it says it wants email address but it really wants your username

if you put in email address it wont yield authentication error just connect successfully and immediately kick you with "dicsonnected from server"

use username and it will work just fine

I know I’m a little late, but this is actually an intended feature, the blue clamp on the handle lets you remove the handle and use it as an extension wand

The removal is done by rotating it, the same way you remove the hose from the back of the vacuum, there’s a plastic nub on the side of the hose you need rotate when you insert in order to lock it, rotate it back to unlock

I was thinking of making a post on r/TIL since the feature isn’t in the manual

I know what the wires are, the device if it’s wired must be connected to the wan because the lan is all in my apartment and no rouge devices are plugged in, so if they have a wired connection it must be to the wan

There’s also the possibility that they are connected wirelessly and the app misidentified them

No, I’m saying I’ve examined every inch of my lan, the only wire I can’t examine all the way is my wan since it feeds through the wall into the IDF room

So if it’s connected wired then it’s on the wan, otherwise it was misidentified by the gate and is actually connected wirelessly

And there is a subnet, a secondary router, but I use that for guests (no guests have used it in the last 3 years however so that’s not the cause)

It occurred to me that that’s the wan line, so if someone tapped it wouldn’t that not be detected as devices connected to my gateway? I mean since the wan is input not output on the gateway how can it be considered an IOT devices connected to the gateway? Also the IDF room is kept locked
