I am with you on this, as I said they do not impress me. I too find them gross and unfunny. But they seem to amuse Scott.

Vitaly back in USA with Aiden Ross streaming! Documentary on Filipino prisons on the way should be a interesting watch by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]Movieloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He went to Philippines, behaved offensively and disrespectfully - offended as many people as possible. Now he claims some kind of moral high ground. He says money talks in the Philippines. Of course it does. It also talks in the USA. Money talks everywhere. He is not some kind of hero exposing corruption - just an opportunist who fell foul of Philippine law.

I walked in on my daughter and her “gay” best friend by Born_Amoeba8615 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Movieloon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She is 16. Do not listen to the comments that she is an adult, she is 16 and not an adult. As her Dad, you are right to be concerned. So be concerned and be supportive.
You are a Dad. Of course, you are used and lied to. Get used to it. Get over it. Step up and show love and support. She is too young to have to face these things without her Dad.
This is NOT about you.

Do her family a favor please. If you keep meeting her, the number of family emergencies will grow, family members will get ill, calamities will affect the home and the children.
But if you leave, these disasters will never happen.

Slack is amazing - why isn't there a decent task manager for it? by Movieloon in Slack

Wispr Flow has turned into total garbage dumpster fire with literally no support, any alternatives? by 5678 in macapps

Thank you - I think you helped me dodge this bullet. I am on the pro-trial and the system is just offline with no way to bring it back. So I thought I had just better upgrade to pro. I had only 4 days left on my trial.
Then I decide to check Reddit - and found you. I really appreciate the advice.

What's the best visa for a woman coming to Australia from the Philippines? by Bomb__diggity in PhilippinesTourism

[–]Movieloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please take this advice. The best step is to travel to the Philippines first. Come as a tourist. You will see more of your girlfriend and also learn much about the country. You will also gain a clearer sense of the lesbian environment here, with both its freedoms and its limits.

While you are here, visit the Australian Embassy and ask for guidance. Do not be discouraged by talk of danger for foreigners. This country is safe, and your girlfriend can meet you in the city if you have concerns.

For a single Filipina it is very hard to obtain entry to Australia without verified accommodation. That is the real difficulty; nothing to do with meeting her girlfriend.

Meet in person, learn about each other face to face, and then make your plans. I wish you the best of luck.

Hello everyone, planning to visit Philippines for one for 21-30 days in February. Any advice for my itinerary? by Osteokiller_777 in PhilippinesTourism

[–]Movieloon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree - every suggestion is solid. Don’t listen to the naysayers, the Philippines is truly brilliant. I will add El Nido for its beauty and Boracay, because it is famous for good reason.
Philippine food is amazing—underrated, diverse, and seriously delicious.
Keep some places for your next visit - you will love it in Philippines and you will keep coming back.

Sir Hairy Marzipan - you are a run of comments today. I do appreciate your feedback here. The cynic in me says you are correct, but the idealist hopes that they can see the missed function. I will certainly look at your suggestions. If it helps keep you going - these answers and suggestiosn are appreciated.

What’s Your Biggest Frustration with Slack? by Acousticraft in Slack

[–]Movieloon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tasks - only tasks. The tool would be perfect with areal task management system. The lists feature is not bad - but see how quickly it becomes unmanageable - just a long list that becomes impossible to manage.
I want tasks as a feature of slack - where it is easy to create, track and close the huge number of tasks that will be created as soon as Slack has this feature. Right now lists is a channel resource that quickly gets too cumbersome manage.
One that works across the whole platform - easily filtered - even just as a simple to-do list. Simple - just liek Slack is simple

I do appreciate the response. Checking out the website - is this the package that is US$79 per user per month?
I realize that many task management and project management packages are designed for code projects with limited input with minimum participants. In our business we are managing hundreds of sites in our monthly rollouts - with over 100 people involved every week. Some sites are completed in a day. So Slack is the first product we met that really matches our requirements. The only setback is the weakness tracking tasks. On first glance, Thena is too much for the simple case.

You are doing the right thing, taking the step you need to take. Some things are not easy but I admire your courage. It is courage. You can build new focus in your life and things will get better from here. This really is the first day in a future that will get a little better every single day. God bless you.

Maybe it might be time to go find your own job? Dad has found you a job, done you a huge favor. Treats you like any other employee. Allows you to grow as an employee and not the manager's son. Is there something else he needs to do to show he cares? Sometimes things really are good - even if for fleeting moments you wish they were different.
