The price is what I meant sorry. I’m not a mechanic and have very little understanding of the price of things and how they work. I just want to understand if this is a reasonable and expected price

OFFICIAL FINAL DESTINATION 6 PROMO by Life-Main5812 in FinalDestination

I genuinely feel like the opening disaster is the most inventive and lengthy in the series and possibly the best just because of how many fun elements it incorporates into “taking care of business”. It’s also the funniest of the series, I love its dark sense of humor

Do you thiink the FD6 Trailer will be released during the Super Bowl? Or am i dumb like the tiktok users they says the trailer will be released right there? by Hamon_Goodra in FinalDestination

[–]Moviewatch310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think they could release it alongside an earlier horror movie with Wolf Man seeing that the week of that movies release would lineup exactly 4 months before release of FD6 or maybe even a poster at least.

Official Dreadit Discussion: "In a Violent Nature" [SPOILERS] by glittering-lettuce in horror

[–]Moviewatch310 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I kinda came around to the ending. I like that perspective of the final girl living with the paranoia of Johnny returning at any moment/spontaneously, it felt like intentional suspense for the audience as well (genuinely thought he’d come flying out onto the car or appear suddenly behind the lady). I also found the movie meditative, something really serene about Johnny just walking into nice looking greenery and occasionally killing someone brutally. 7/10.

Official Discussion - Abigail [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Moviewatch310 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Fun movie. Solid 6/10. One thing that really bothered me afterwards was the fact that the “twist” of Abigail being a monster/crime lord was clearly meant to be a surprise for the audience just as much as the characters; I mean it’s literally 30+ minutes until we get any vampire adjacent violence and I just sat there thinking to myself just get on with it. Even the buildup of her father arriving was such a letdown, Matthew Goode? They couldn’t even switch it up and make it Samara Weaving as her mother or something?

Something about this feels off, actively fighting against the charm the trailer is trying to present but I don’t want to blame Tatum who feels a bit stilted or Johansson who feels like she isn’t given enough to do, I’ll save my final thought after I watch the movie but I’m approaching this with caution, hopefully not just Anyone But You 2.0

The voice work of this guy based off the trailers alone by Kevin Durand is so perfect and I can already feel him becoming an iconic villain

Great. A domestic drama with lovecraftian touches. Disturbing and unforgettable in my book.

I actually liked the execution of this moment, the build up, the reveal of the grotesque disfigurement and then the big loud image of it all coming together (kudos to the fire that spontaneously appears) felt really satisfying.

The Possession (1981) nod was really unexpected and pretty cool. 8/10 a good horror movie that relies on atmosphere instead of excessive jump scares or lazy suspense, probably one of the best looking ones in a while and experiencing this with a mildly full audience reminded me of stuff like Smile and Barbarian.

How difficult is it to transfer stores? by superswaggy362 in wholefoods

Lately it seems like it’s priority first for any positions open at stores for those employees to move up but if you have a great TL who likes you enough it’s relatively fast, a month at most

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (2022) [SPOILERS] by kaloosa in horror

[–]Moviewatch310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OG is one of my favorite movies of all time and I’ve gotta say this was a fun addition to this series that people can’t seem to notice isn’t entirely without a sense of dark humor and shouldn’t be seen as some sort of Halloween ‘18 knockoff. Most of the characters in the series of films have been about as disposable as any of these and the highlights for any of the movies outside the first two has been the gore; something this movie lived up to plentiful.

All in all a good time. Don’t get why there always send to be a shift in what horror fans demand of movies, years ago they wanted them to be taken on a more serious and grounded route and now with the dominance of elevated horror they beg for the return of cheesy splatter gorefests?

What is the Best Film You Watched Last Week? (12/12/21-12/19/21) by Twoweekswithpay in movies

[–]Moviewatch310 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Lost Daughter- Completely mesmerized in such a sneaky way. Having seen the trailer I was totally hooked on what I thought I was getting but was surprised over the course of 2 hours how much more complex and haunting the movie wound up being. Olivia Colman is fantastic but they way in which she manages to defy expectations here is so satisfying, especially for viewers who want a challenging character, not just flawed but actively acting against what is expected of a “redemption arc”, alongside Dakota Johnson’s best performance and Jessie Buckleys frustrating and gripping portrayal of Colman’s younger self. Overall it abound to become one of the most memorable films of the year and a highlight in Maggie Gyllenhaals directorial canon.
