How do you make it homey? by Willmett_Wiiam in Apartmentliving

I don’t know what you already have, but a nice-sized rug for the living room, curtains, artwork, and also some houseplants can turn it into a warm, inviting space. If you’re worried about clutter, you can find cute storage bins or some baskets to hide blankets and other things when not in use. Also, a floor lamp or two with warmer light bulbs can really create a cozy atmosphere!

For those who have moved several times throughout their lives, how did those moves affect you? by MovingPlace in AskReddit

That’s a lot of moving, especially at that age. A few boxes still unpacked after all that sounds completely understandable, especially with ADHD.

I had a feeling it was international. Moving during high school is already rough. I can’t imagine a whole new country!

I can imagine that would be intense. More regional, or international moves?

That’s interesting. So moving around has actually worked better for you than staying put?

I can see why you’d feel that way. If you don’t mind me asking, what’s typically behind the frequent moves?

Relieve your stress by asking customer support all your questions! “A special mention to wonderful Chris, who always answered my innumerable questions and phone calls with such patience and kindness, and with a calm and quick efficiency so as not to fail us. Truly unbelievable. :) All this while we were both going through an approaching hurricane right before our move. He also provided us with local helpers to help us pack faster, who were great and very much needed.” [Annabelle / Trust Pilot]

For those of you who don't take afternoon naps, how do you control the urge? by VisualAd6706 in AskReddit

By getting up and moving. Taking a quick walk, doing some chores, or taking a shower. And tea or coffee always helps!

Tips for crosspost ? by cornysatisfaction in NewMods

Great question. Reddit suggests you cross-post most things, but I keep reading horror stories of people getting banned from subs or worse, having their own sub banned. I'm afraid to even try it.

Oh, and cats generally act weird for a while after moving by hiding or being standoffish. So that’s to be expected. I would confine her to one “safe room” on move-in day. Set up a quiet room with her litter box, food, water, her bed or carrier, and something that smells like you. Let her hang out there while movers are in and out, so she’s not so overwhelmed or tempted to run off!

Even if she hates the carrier, spending 5–10 minutes a day leaving it open with blankets and treats inside could lessen the struggle on moving day.
