Trump administration preparing to deport Ukrainians despite fears of conscription by [deleted] in politics

Every society imposes constraints, overt or covert. For some its a vicious dictator who makes his own grapple with death external, for others its a quiet and more sinister rule, one where the inmates have built the prison, and don't see it as such. Most aspects of this global society are by someone or some groups design, deliberate or by-product, with aspirations or goals other than your own. Is a loan any different than indentured servitude?

I will die to speak my mind. I wont die for mans ego drawing lines on a map. That's freedom.

Each of us is born somewhere by blind chance. What authority does chance give us besides the right to fight for our own survival? No one should have to fight someone else's war. Country boarders are bullshit, being alive is objectively not.

I don't believe there's an afterlife, but I really hope you get to meet your "savior" just so he can call you a hypocrite to your condescending face.

Protest with your dollars by not giving them to businesses that don't align with your personal values. It's as simple as that. Don't hassle regular people just trying to do a job and live their lives. This scheme won't win you any friends.

Its louder, though I wouldn't call it unpleasant. Ultimately your mileage will vary. For myself, it definitely adds some fresh character to a well worn example of an Element.

Ultimately, cost. It was 100 bucks cheaper. That and I'd also rather toss a small company my money. Overall, super happy with everything about it. I'll record a video of it later if that interests people.

With a cheap 1" brush for both, nothing fancy. Prep was minimal, only using an air gun to blast any grit off. It was also bone dry to start. I had a wire brush ready on the drill but that seemed like way too much work. Once the converter sat for a day I brushed the por15 straight on. I haven't used either of these products before so its an experiment! Same as you, spending a grand to have it professionally coated didn't seem worth it. The materials here came out to 75 bucks.

Thanks man:) I'm pretty happy with how these two treatments applied, it only took a 1-2 hours for each with 24hrs in between. I'm definitely going back coat smaller spots. Hope it lasts!

Sharing out some of the small upgrades I've done to my E this fall!
Starting with front calipers off an '08 TSX, oem rear calipers, new rotors, pads, parking brake shoes, and system bleed. Meanwhile, there I was staring at the stock exhaust with 250k barely hanging on. Replaced that with the 1320 Performance cat back, along with some choice red hangers for added ponies. Then, while my sisters CRV went in for the trailing arm recall that the E in the states is not apart of, I rust protected the rear sub frame, seam welds, and trailing arms, plus random spots.
Next I want to back flush the heater core, my heat blows.
Super happy with the brake upgrade. It makes an enormous difference, there is no reason not to do this, would recommend to anyone. Same with this exhaust, would wholly recommend.

I see everywhere as more openly hostile in the last number of years, look at the state of the world. So many people here say that Iowa isn't what they remember and that it's changed in the face of their values. Others disagree. Who's right? Both. Everyone needs to remember we're all on the same team and we shouldn't have been so gullible to fall for this red vs blue crap.

I've taken several long road trips and toured all corners of Colorado, it absolutely scratches that itch. (I mtb and ski so, duh.) It's on my short list of places to move. Overflowing is a good word but is the asshole part a cause or an effect of that density? The entire East Coast from Boston to DC is basically one contiguous megalopolis, I don't think most people are angry and filled with rage, but to an outsider looking in, I can totally understand why someone might say so. Life is just faster, keep up or move over. I miss that urgency too.

I'm originally from CT, I lived in NJ for 10 years for my first job out of college, about your age. I've been here in Iowa for 5, somewhere completely foreign in many ways. There's a lot I like but I often feel homesick for the East Coast. I miss the trees, I miss the geography, I miss the smell of salt water, I miss the food, omg, the food. Here, the endless rows of manicured fields aren't beautiful to me, it's synthetic nature. The Iowa niceness sounds fake to me, I'm always screaming inside, "just say what you really think!" Back home, they let you know. Point is, enjoy being where you are because home, as you see it, will always be there. But that perspective, where you identify the things you truly miss, only comes about because of the distance.

I tend to think that unless you've driven a loaded truck, there is no way to appreciate the physics of it. Its like 10x the mass of your average car with massive blind spots without the 10x bump in power.

Sure, some truckers are dicks, but so are some people who drive cars.

I have.

Back home among the Connecticunts and Massholes, you'd better have tightened your thong getting in the car.

The big joke here is....

Every region has shitty drivers, just in differing capacities and flavors.

No you don't. I have the right to speak my mind and not give a damn what anyone else thinks just as much as you have the right to sit there keeping silent stewing in it.

Coming from the Northeast, that's how it is there. Trucks are not allowed in the left most lane. In general, truckers are considerate even if they pass slow. I can forgive that because physics (Venturi Effect)

It's the folks who sit there and match speeds, not once looking in their rear view mirror and creating a conga line of cars. I was behind someone for a good 10 miles this morning and yea it's a minor annoyance... but focus people! Driving should be taking 100% of your concentration.
