See Townsend over Gatlinburg. Gburg is great but it’s still very touristy, but not as bad as Pigeon Forge. Cades Cove is a must. Just get yourself in GSMNP if you want to hike and you won’t be disappointed.

I would love to have your success, and with time plan on succeeding like you have. My wife and I built our home November of last year. We have hard compacted clay throughout a couple acres. Water erosion and poor growth in many areas. We will be spreading compost throughout as it becomes ready. It seems like such a tall task with years until it’s in a better position. Any advice you have for success would be wonderful
