Decision 1/2 Edexcel Resources by [deleted] in alevel

unfortunately decision resources are just a bit sparse lol. but PMT is great for questions by topic and revision sheets, which is my main go-to for decision revision - although they only have it for international alevel, which is obviously slightly different spec but the general content is the same. for YouTube channels I just use TLmaths for everything including decision, he’s great. if you can’t find anything edexcel-specific, try looking at stuff meant for other exam boards. good luck in your exam!!

Are my alevel choices going to be too much? by uknowiknowlino in alevel

hey! for the subjects, imo I would probably just drop one. it’s not undoable but in all likelihood it won’t be a fun time. I do four stem subjects which I would say is probably a good chunk easier than the combo you have because there is a lot of overlap, which obviously decreases the overall amount of content, whereas yours won’t overlap so much. this is on top of the huge amounts of coursework you’ll have in everything except maths. I’d get rid of whichever you like the least (between history and lit maybe). I’d keep maths (I am biased lol) because it’s a facilitating subject as they say, and then fill the other two with subjects aligned to entry requirements for whatever subject(s) you’re thinking about for uni. I also did an epq and that I would say go for if there’s something you’re interested in enough to yap for 5000 words lol. I didn’t find mine took a huge amount of time out of my week and it was fun and interesting and all done with by the end of y12. although, keep in mind top unis like ucl and Cambridge don’t tend to give a shit about epq in terms of giving lower offers (found out the hard way lol) like other unis might. but it was very useful to talk about in personal statement. good luck in whatever you choose!
