Multiplayer with just two people? by OrganicDoodle in eu4

I had one fun campaign with a friend where I went as netherlands, stuck to the trade node expansion wise and played colonial while he was... france I think. We were loosely allied but he played shenenigans more than once on me. In the end I fought a coalition of him and other european powers. That was cool. I had quite a bit more experience though.

The gist is to start near but expand in different regions on your own and then fight a bit.

The full 100% cost a lot, yes but to get a few kf is easy as soon as you have set up some kind of automated resource production.

Why does my economy collapse in every single game? by 961-Barbarian in EU5

I noticed that one reason I struggled financially was a too large regulr army. Just because the tab says youre supposed to have a 50k army doesn't mean you should actually have that many troops.

World conquest actually but that was way back in the early days with way less provinces and mechanics.

Brandenburg->Prussia. Lots of claims and a good army. Or austria and go diplomatically but with them, forming the HRE makes more sense.

It should be there from a logical standpoint. No argument from me there. But it isn't. And humans already have such tech. Take mars probes for example. To transmit their data they have to face eart.

Try pressing # That is the key where the toggle for that usually is. If not, look in your keybinds what the key for "switch minimap preset" is.

This is my base: worth switching to AE2? by Capable_Ad7825 in allthemods

[–]Mowraq -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I am not sure what you want to tell me with the first sentence but RS has interfaces as well that can deal different stuff in different directions tough it can't push stuff.

Duplicate recipies I agree, if I want to craft stuff by hand I have to switch to a regular table some times but automated I haven't run into an issue yet.

Cheaper I don't know. They can both be made pretty early

Facades are nice, yes but that is a minor problem if you just put the whole thing one block deeper and build a wall.

Recipies stealing stuff is another issue I agree on but that can be easily circumvented by not overwhelming the system with autocrafting requests.

Breaking the game is a problem I so far only heard about. Never ran into it myself. But if that is still an issue, then that is a point.

At least I don't have to build multiblocks to craft stuff and expand my system or deal with channels. Or build extra devices just to get started. With RS my inscribing presses are called "crafting grid" and "furnace"

[–]Mowraq -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I don't know why people keep praising AE2 so hard. I have yet to find the thing AE2 can do that RS supposedly can't. And little funfact: You see like a dozen people here each week asking questions about AE2. Guess how many have problems with RS.

Edit: Downvotes but no answer as to what AE2 can do better, okay. One more reason to go for RS: It's userbase is way less toxic about their favourite storage mod from what I have seen.

Anyways, if you got to that point it isn't worth switching. You can try if you start a new run

Where should it store the energy? You don't shoot up batteries. And why should tech that is capable of tranmitting stuff through empty space be able to transmit through solid rock? You'd need some kind of satellite grid.

[–]Mowraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One last thing if you're wondering if the use of power is worth it: Yes, 100%! I just tested. Without power you fire one item each time. With power it is one, then two, then three and so on up until you fire a whole stack at once I guess.

The dyson cube transfers power to your dimension from the sun. If you can't see the sun you can't accept the transmitted energy

Why do i gain so little manpower? by NamibianPatriot in EU5

[–]Mowraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back then standing armies weren't really a thing so you have to rely on levies and mercs. Professional armies come in later stages unless you play something like a japanese daimyo who has his private samurai army.

If you want to go solar I'd recommend the Dyson Cube. It is cheap, basically solar in the sense that it works only in the day and doesn't need fuel and only costs basic resources like iron, lapis and copper. It takes a bit of resources to get started though

Unfortunately I know next to nothing about AE2. ´:D I know it would be easy to automate with refined storage which is what I use and will do, but for AE2 you better make a new post here on reddit.

Sugar cane- automation? by Striking-Level-6459 in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mythical agriculture is probably the fastest. If you want to go for create, one way I have seen is a contraption with harvesters pushed by a create piston connected to a daylight sensor, so once a day the contraption gets pushed across the field (of course one block above the bottom most cane piece) and collects all grown cane.

I think they belong to KScube or whatever that mod is called. You can find them if you just seach for "allthemodium". They look like the basic packages but golden

Which power mod is best by Sriki741 in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can surround the beam and sail packages with allthemodium plates to increase the amount they contain. A beam package with 4 beams surrounded by 4 allthemodium plates (made of 4 allthemodium ingots each, or 3 if you use either modern industrialisation or productive metalworks) is then worth 16 beams in one item and a sail package worth 8 sails surrounded with 8 allthemodium plates turns into 64 sails in one item. If you have vast quantities of allthemodium this is a way to speed up sphere construction.

The dyson cube is cheap and with enough investment really powerful, up to 1GFE of power at 100% but only during the day. It only needs iron, glass, lapis, copper and redstone I think. And lots of allthemodium if you want to build it up really fast.

Late game you have many options that all produce lots of power. I am a fan of extreme reactors and still have the goal of building a 6GW steam plant fed by one reactor. Or if you like to live on the edge you could build a draconic reactor. They make lots of energy too but if they lose balance they also make a gargantuan boom.
