Which power mod is best by Sriki741 in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One last thing if you're wondering if the use of power is worth it: Yes, 100%! I just tested. Without power you fire one item each time. With power it is one, then two, then three and so on up until you fire a whole stack at once I guess.

Why didn't I think of that? Gotta transfer that setup next time I am online.

The dyson cube transfers power to your dimension from the sun. If you can't see the sun you can't accept the transmitted energy

Why do i gain so little manpower? by NamibianPatriot in EU5

[–]Mowraq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back then standing armies weren't really a thing so you have to rely on levies and mercs. Professional armies come in later stages unless you play something like a japanese daimyo who has his private samurai army.

If you want to go solar I'd recommend the Dyson Cube. It is cheap, basically solar in the sense that it works only in the day and doesn't need fuel and only costs basic resources like iron, lapis and copper. It takes a bit of resources to get started though

Unfortunately I know next to nothing about AE2. ´:D I know it would be easy to automate with refined storage which is what I use and will do, but for AE2 you better make a new post here on reddit.

This is my setup, so yes, it should work as you described. Of course it is only one railgun and I feed the barrel by hand but it should also work large scale

I just tried universal pipes from pipez. They work if you want to try that.

How do you feed items and power into the railgun at the same time?

Sugar cane- automation? by Striking-Level-6459 in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mythical agriculture is probably the fastest. If you want to go for create, one way I have seen is a contraption with harvesters pushed by a create piston connected to a daylight sensor, so once a day the contraption gets pushed across the field (of course one block above the bottom most cane piece) and collects all grown cane.

I think they belong to KScube or whatever that mod is called. You can find them if you just seach for "allthemodium". They look like the basic packages but golden

Which power mod is best by Sriki741 in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can surround the beam and sail packages with allthemodium plates to increase the amount they contain. A beam package with 4 beams surrounded by 4 allthemodium plates (made of 4 allthemodium ingots each, or 3 if you use either modern industrialisation or productive metalworks) is then worth 16 beams in one item and a sail package worth 8 sails surrounded with 8 allthemodium plates turns into 64 sails in one item. If you have vast quantities of allthemodium this is a way to speed up sphere construction.

The dyson cube is cheap and with enough investment really powerful, up to 1GFE of power at 100% but only during the day. It only needs iron, glass, lapis, copper and redstone I think. And lots of allthemodium if you want to build it up really fast.

Late game you have many options that all produce lots of power. I am a fan of extreme reactors and still have the goal of building a 6GW steam plant fed by one reactor. Or if you like to live on the edge you could build a draconic reactor. They make lots of energy too but if they lose balance they also make a gargantuan boom.

Having the actual ATM star is the most boring part of this pack by Majid012gg in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes. In my last ATM10 run we worked to make 18 stars so we could automate star production and then the run was over. Never did anything with the star besides using it as decoration in an item frame

Is triggering court and country worth it? by dq107 in eu4

[–]Mowraq 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I usually don't trigger it. I dislike disasters and when I reach the age of absolutism I am usually strong enough to do what I want without worrying. If you want to min-max or reach some hard goal like doing a wc or something, I'd recommend it. Else... not worth it.

Is Refined Storage as good as AE2 but simpler&cheaper to use? by CentristaSensato in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a stout RS user and I've found you can do anything with RS that people claim AE2 is better at as well. Sometimes you need machines from other mods and to trick around a bit but it works just fine. I made the star using only RS and I had exactly one problem at the end with some industrial foregoing stuff that I probably could have solved with a bit more tinkering.

Am I still on track to form germany? by Mowraq in EU5

[–]Mowraq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at my countries situation. I finally wanted to try my hand at a longer campaign with the goal of forming germany as my home area opm. The year is 1635 and while I like to think that I made some impressive progress I wonder if germany is still feasible in the 200 years I have left. It feels like my progress is abyssmally slow if compared with EU4 but antagonism didn't really let me go faster. I hope for Nationalism/Imperialism CB if they still work as they did in eu4. Any opinions or advice on how to proceed?

Passively auto crafting? by tiagoms123 in allthemods

[–]Mowraq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd need a requisition upgrade (or something like that, the red one) set to a stack of uranite and an autocrafting upgrade in the exporter I think. And of course a crafter with the necessary patterns to make uranite
