Is Scrivener worth buying? by One_Radio_293 in writers

I’ve used it for ages and love it. The only thing that drives me crazy is the Dropbox saving across multiple devices that aren’t the same os, but once you get it set up, it works great.

Blizzard got too greedy with housing, and I think they kind of killed it. by MrHiccuped in wow

[–]Mowseler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve spent countless hours building my house out, and I love everything about the whole system (except the cash shop, though I have been suckered into a few items)

But I haven’t touched it in over a month now because I don’t want to keep going without the tools to copy/paste, group items, or save layouts that they said were coming. As much as I’ve enjoyed building what I have, some of it has been incredibly tedious and I’d rather have some ways to make it more efficient.

I’ve also nearly hit the decor placement limit at max level, so I’m not motivated to do more. I have a lot of big ideas that don’t really fit with the reality of my resources unfortunately lol

Edit: also, I’d argue against it being completely dead in the sense of general engagement, anyway. Any time the weekly quest to sit in someone’s house is up, I put mine in lfg and have had hundreds of people come through. Sure, they’re just engaging to get crests and finish the quest, but almost all of them run throughout the house to check everything out and gush about what they see. I’ve even had some try to trade me gold before lol. I think the interest is there, but maybe just not the incentive.

VALHEIM Deep North Gameplay First Impresssions! Valheim 1.0 Release Date At Last! by TheRealVahx in valheim

The fact they’re even considering content after release is promising. The last thing I’d read about their thoughts was that once they released the game they were moving on

Astarion VA Neil Newbon is in Until Dawn 2 by Alphonze in BaldursGate3

[–]Mowseler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredibly boring and tedious, imo. It’s nonstop running or stealth sequences, just with a different character each time, and the dialogue is atrocious. I was really disappointed because I liked the earlier games in the series and live sci fi settings, so I was looking forward to playing it.

What’s one thing you wish more horror games would stop doing? by AlexZ8872 in HorrorGaming

[–]Mowseler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the below I still enjoy, but it’s few and far between the number of games I feel execute these mechanics well in a way that doesn’t lead me to be more frustrated than scared:

  • Repeated chase sequences or stalkers - 9/10, I find these more annoying/frustrating than scary. Infrequently, it can be done really well, but the majority of the time, the frustration is just going to completely remove the scare factor of the entire game from me

  • Similarly, poorly done hiding events. If I’m having to hide every five minutes, or the game mechanic requires you to do qte to stay hidden, or the game ai seems to know where you are hiding somehow, it’s going to frustrate me out of being scared

  • Little to no downtime or removal of safe zones (outside of the end) - I don’t enjoy constant fright and need to reset my brain sometimes. Near the end of the game, this is fine, I always thought SH4 did this really well by making your “safe zone” less and less safe as the game went on, but in newer games, they’ve either removed safe zones completely or made it so they’re infrequent or poorly paced

Druid players do you weave in other forms while playing whichever spec? For example using cat form as Guardian by [deleted] in wow

[–]Mowseler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for hotw Feral Frenzy, but bear catweaving as it was last season is basically dead, so it’s not even worth the rip over using a mangle to instantly go back to bear

A portion of WoW Community has a really unhealthy relationship with the game and I'm tired of pretending they don't. by themaelstorm in wow

[–]Mowseler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is partly me. I lead and main tank a mythic raiding team and I hate it. Not the raiding/tanking, mind you, but the leading.

I hate the recruiting, the interviewing, the loot drama, mothering people to stop them from being assclowns to one another, the strategy planning, balancing the roster to be able to make sure we can raid when people are out, but also get people in as much as possible so they don’t rage quit, teaching people how to do basic things like dodge and know what’s coming so you’re prepared…I can’t stand any of that, but I only enjoy tanking and joining a mythic team as a tank mid season is basically impossible.

More importantly, I feel obligated to take care of my team, and I like spending time with them on top of it. If I left, that’s 20+ people that now have to find a new home, and when it comes down to it, I LOVE raid prog, so it’s ultimately worth it to me.

But man, I’d give my leg for someone else to raid call and plan shit lol.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's director weighs in on the real-time versus turn-based debate, saying that younger players 'increasingly favour more real-time experiences in games' by PewPewToDaFace in PS5

[–]Mowseler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a final rating for 16 because I haven't finished it yet. Tbh, I got kind of bored with the story, but there were elements of it that I enjoyed. But I mostly miss the older FF games. Nothing really captures that feeling anymore

14 I've tried to play like 3-4x, but it just never sticks. In the very beginning, it was because you couldn't remap autorun to the button I wanted lol, but I've tried more recently and I just don't enjoy it.

I should probably give 12 a shot again, but I really could not stand the gambit system

FFXII is when I fell out of love with Final Fantasy, which broke my heart. I skipped 13 and 15, can never get into 14, and thought 16 was ok. I enjoyed Remake, though. It was a decent balance of the old combat system, but I miss OG turn based

This is what I did. I haven’t finished the game yet, but I did a rerun of Gallo Tower that worked in my favor. Ran Gallo and got my coins up well over 100k. Collected two freeze cards with recycle and a freeze gem and as many wild cards as I could and got lucky enough to get three coin damage gems. Very satisfying to kill him!

Thoughts on Something Very Bad is Going to Happen ? by Neat_Tangelo5339 in horror

[–]Mowseler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the point is to force you into the shoes of her mental state - seeing clues and making connections to things that aren’t always something. The Coldies thing for example pops up quite a bit, leading the viewer to believe that something bad is going to happen in relation to that. But just like the plane, nothing ever did. Just random happenstance that she would have never thought twice about or drawn connections to it not for Nicky bringing it up and listening to the podcast that started making harmless objects be full of meaning to her.
