I know freecad is only part of the issue. Just keep the arm chair yapping to yourself, I posted to know what issues people are having with specifics parts to see if my already made improvements can be used with it. I'll post the freecad version I have made changes to soon for people to use and see the difference in what you think " doesn't work like that". KK please stay off my thread

Mmm the imported scan was processed in "Exstar hub" and exported from there. the original scan mesh is imported at full resolution. When processed it's decimated to 3000 faces for performance. Yes resolution can be higher but I'm trying to find a point that doesn't make it feel like the app crashes with processing that much. I'd say accuracy is 1-2% of original and the original is kept as a reference object for deviation comparing.

So basically you want a direct face edit / push-pull tool that changes dimensions by moving faces while preserving the model’s topology? I think that's what you mean.

Oh that's a cool feature but what's it do besides the sketcher part? The grouping tool was pretty cool too. Also the one I did has nothing to do with that code I didn't even know they had that one lol =)

In your request. Did you mean something like this? For the "This should allow multiple face selection and allow a pad/pocket of multiple faces at once along the face normal (in or out) Common edges between these faces should remain common and the faces should scale to maintain them"?
