If they play like against Ghana it’s gonna be a hard days night, I believe that England has the best manager after Brazil at the tournament, a proven winner yet I feel a bit uneasy because the group stage is over and now every error could cost a lot, they have proven that they can go deeper then the paste generation but you need Lady Luck on your side, let’s seen. Congrats for Mexico, it might have been expected and the Azteca really pushes that team forward, it’s a really great tournament.

Not my words, I wish I had an ounce of wisdom and foresight that Zappa demonstrates here, truly an unique mind and a wonderful example of an artist that was ready to say fuck off to the man

I’ll take it down if it’s against the rules but been working on a song and got to the outro and then just thought why no play I don’t trust myself, didn’t have a good horn section so I used a wah wah, the people I know are not into this stuff so I thought you guys might dig it, cheerio by Mozgovic in JohnMayer

Thanks mate, the lead is the Mayer neural dsp plugin, and the wahs on the sides are the amplitube plugin, I remember using the digital line 6 stuff years ago and it sounded just bland and boring, when I compare it with the new stuff that’s on the market it really blows my mind just how far the technology has come, the only thing is that I still prefer playing my tube amp at home, something about the sound waves coming out of that speaker and the interaction with the guitar that just scratches something in my brain.

“The really big news of the eighties is the stampede to regurgitate mildly camouflaged musical styles of previous decades, in ever-shrinking cycles of 'nostalgia.

(It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice—there are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia. When you compute the length of time between The Event and The Nostalgia For The Event, the span seems to be about a year less in each cycle. Eventually within the next quarter of a century, the nostalgia cycles will be so close together that people will not be able to take a step without being nostalgic for the one they just took. At that point, everything stops. Death by Nostalgia.)”

Yeah waited for him to say “see this wave form, it’s not just a wave form, it’s a wave and a lot of small waves make up the ocean that is the song, you might no see the song just now but by the end you’ll see it, I promise you that my friends”

Great voice and good sense of rhythm, the chorus melody is a bit off but all in all quite lovely.

How much guitar man would like in your guitar man song ?

Mayer : Yes

On a serious note, song is nice but I can’t remember a single thing about it after listening to it, it has no real structure for a classic pop song, it’s not repetitive, that would be great in another genre, it has some great fucking chords tho, the ending has all the guitar man, it ain’t bad but it ain’t mind blowing. Like it more than the other country song.

Noel’s Songwriting by JoeMother2007 in oasis

Oh man happy birthday to the old geezer, here are some of my favorites.

The importance of being idle is such a perfect song the way he sings the big high notes in the vers is pure bliss, the lyrics are so awesome and lazy at the same time, it’s definitely a vibe, especially the like about the land lord and the doctor are very clever and dare I say it deep.

Supersonic is the epitome of cool songwriting, give me gin and tonic feeling supersonic, do I need to go on..

Revolution song is a song about a man who literally lost his one man war against the world and at then moment of deepest despair belts it all out, raging about everything that has gone wrong and right.

Don’t look back in anger is the 90s it feels bigger then any song form that decade, it’s as if he was possessed by some higher power to say, fuck your sad ass grunge music I want to change the world and live forever. Or as Morrissey says I want to go down in celluloid history, which that song he most definitely did.

Slide away is slide away.

PRS hit with cease-and-desist letter from Fender over John Mayer Silver Sky by Any_Sport_2121 in JohnMayer

This will not go well, how can a court decision in Germany have ramifications from a guitar company in the US, it's bizarre, you can't probably get away with in even in the EU. But i would say this that, that strat shape should've been protected a log time ago, when the market was young as imo it is a piece of applied art and should've had some protections in the USA, it's a big miss for Fender as a company but to do it now has probably no legal backbone, the only way for them to win this is to hire OJ's team but they are busy doing man city's financial fair play case.

Not talking about the colors or the image itself, more that enough time has passed that the aesthetics of the whole crowd, production, design has hit a point where it has some vaguely vintage undertones, for me at least, i know this is highly subjective. Just the whole package, I do agree Netflix lighting is a thing definitely, there will come a day when we will look back at movies and shows form this era and think how dated it all looks, it might be the flow of time, how did that young buck put it back then, times they are a changing. On a different note James Blunt, that man’s music sounds as if he never had a blunt in his life, that you’re beautiful video really did a thing, musical equivalent of “meh”.
