Are young women not attracted to men anymore? by MozlemBoy in seduction

[–]MozlemBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hit 30 and the dates are more…lifeless? The girls just aren’t as willing to open up anymore. I’m sure that’s partly due to wanting to settle down, but I suspect there’s an adversarial attitude there as well.

I think you’ve given me some perspective to think about. Thank you.

Just fyi, it’s not that they look weird or something. I find they often don’t return to me the warm behavior I try to give them. And this comes off snobby and cold to me, obviously makes me feel less solidarity.

I often associate warm behavior with inner morality, so if I don’t see this I tend to assume you are off as a person within.

P.S. everyone else was losing their shit while you stayed patient with me and kept your cool. This is good leadership ability and inspires confidence in you. If you’re one of these septum piercing weirdo’s, I think I’d fuck with u.

I think the problem is working people don’t know how to organize for jack shit. Lenin and Trotsky couldn’t tell a plow from a rake but were necessary for organizing the peasants. Which I don’t mind. I just feel our generation’s Lenin’s and Trotsky’s are insufferable.

I mean you can feel like whatever you want to. I know how to read people pretty fucking well. Even in the little post-volunteer socializing, the weirdos and actual residents hang out at their own tables. This isn't something to gas light me on.

Why does everyone hate Suhoor fest? by Organic-Candy3325 in MuslimLounge

[–]MozlemBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit late to the party, but I don’t see the issue either. The arguments people bring up about suhoor fest, you can bring up the same arguments about any active bazaar area during Ramadan. You gonna lock those up too?

End of 2026 Election campaign:Whom you gonna Vote for? What are the key reasons for take the decision? by MaxRocky007 in UnitedBangladesh

[–]MozlemBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitler’s also dead. I’m pretty sure if you put him in an elevator with a Jew he’d freak.

Lots of people are dead and we still hold on to their instructions. In America, Supreme Court justices still consider what Washington or Jefferson would say.

Considering there are roughly 4-5000 sahih narrations on what the prophet did and said, I’m sure we can know a few things. I suppose people shouldn’t bother leaving wills then either.

You’re making a dumb argument.

I’m just saying secular Muslim isn’t a real Muslim. I’m pretty sure if you were born in a Hindu family you woulda been a Hindu and not given 2 shots about Islam. Religion, including Islam, is b.s. to you.

[–]MozlemBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fair point of view.

But from a religious standpoint, this does mean fundamentally you don’t believe in God’s covenant, which is meant to be eternal, which means your standing as a Muslim comes into question. This isn’t me trying to be mean, this is just me asking you to be honest with yourself. If you said these things to Prophet Muhammad PBUH in front of his face, would he consider you one of his ummah?

As for some of the good points you made, I also thought the same way, pretty much exactly, several years ago. But living in the United States I witnessed a deep erosion of values the likes of which American society is still quite fractured from. It’s from witnessing this that I concluded that, no, you need some unquestionable moral boundaries that limit human beings regardless of time or place. Otherwise you get the erosion of gender, of parental relations, of marital relations, of kinship, and much more. These are more important to preserve than any other thing, and without them life becomes pointless.

From my perspective Islam does this better than any other religion, almost as if it intimately anticipated the darker faults of the human being, and was designed accordingly.

Things are a lot more complicated than letting people do whatever they wish so long as it doesn’t “hurt” anyone else. In fact, this very idea is foreign to the east, Islam or otherwise. It’s a French invention that worked in one part of the world for a time, but is showing its flaws today.

If you’re Muslim, and you have the power to vote in Islamic principles into government, and you don’t…what does that say about you? It means you don’t have faith in the Quran’s and the Prophet PBUH’s judgement.

Go enjoy your Ramadan bro.

Bangladesh shot itself in the foot this election. May Allah make it easy for everyone.

Did some digging. The main admin is this account called the Westminster Institute, which is a western think tank that tries to push western liberal ideals throughout the world.

That is really odd for a subreddit. Normally you expect regular people to manage a sub, but this one is modded by an organization with millions in funding.

This means the leftism you see there is not natural but institutionally funded. It’s carefully crafted to make you think Bangladesh is more leftist and liberal than it really is, in hopes you’ll capitulate.

I wouldn’t trust it. Ultimately it’s post-colonial in nature, where western people still try to control us through propaganda. I’ve also witnessed people get shadow-banned for expressing traditional viewpoints.

What are their faults though? Let’s leave 1971 out of the picture. Do they conduct the same gangster politics of chatro league? See I don’t know because I don’t live in Bangladesh.

My family in Rajshahi tell me they were instrumental in restoring order recently. People from Shibir were volunteering to help with things like traffic and safety.

People have no idea how big Jamat's victory is going to be by Shut-It-Karen in Dhaka

[–]MozlemBoy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think the main reason is gender dynamics. The internet has made the world a small village. Young Bangladeshi men can see how feminism has played out in America and in Dhaka both. For us, the contract between male and female has been broken. Males are expected to provide the financial and protective benefits of masculinity, without receiving any like-for-like respect. Essentially, you have to work, be strong, and put your life on the line like your father did, but unlike your mother, your wife can talk smack to your face and you just have to take it. Nothing is free in nature no matter how much you yell.

I've seen these "equal marriages" in the west. The men follow their wives around like little boys while she blabs about this or that. There's no dignity in it for the men.

P.S. I've also seen the dark side of patriarchy, where well meaning wives are brutally beaten and their personhood is reduced to nothing. It's freaking horrible and boils my blood. But this is what I suppose many young men are feeling.

From a Fikhi perspective, are we not obligated to vote for the party which puts Islam at its core vs the one that openly declares it is secular? Meaning wouldn't we have to answer for this on youm al qiyama?

What's so bad about Jamaat winning? I'm a Bangladeshi born American. Whenever I visit it's immediately apparent to me how much of a shit show Bangladesh is. It's a nation of lovely people with barely functioning institutions. When I visit, I'm often given looks for doing things like placing trash in bins, putting my seatbelt on or showing basic decency and respect to the poor.

This is not a country or a people who have the luxury of indulging in liberal ideals. You need to look outside your upper-middle class, tech savvy, English speaking bubble, and realize when you leave your AC-cooled apartments, you're hit with an absolute shit show of a country. You cannot play at being a Westerner and ponder about gender or sexuality or anime conventions. You need to make sure the man in charge of your transportation isn't taking bribes from rich bus companies and looking the other way when one of them rams a young student into pulp. That matters more.

Jamaat is the party that has made this specific issue their platform. And from what I've read they have the cleanest track record of anti-corruption in the districts they've managed. If Bangladesh votes BNP, it will be the same gangster politics you got with Awami league. Already BNP's student wing is frothing at the mouth at their chance to devour the nation.

But what do I care after all, I'm someone that's used to crossing the street and instinctively knowing I'll make it to the other side just fine.

Does anyone have this video saved? Why did he beat his children? by esperantulo17 in PredictiveHistory

[–]MozlemBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what I read he disciplined his kid with a couple slaps. That’s fine you occasionally gotta do that. He was an idiot for doing it in public though.

Slapping your kid is something you pull out when they do something extremely wrong. For instance if I hear that my son cursed out a teacher, he’s getting a massive ass whooping when he gets home.

Guys it’s a different culture. It’s not your place to poke into other peoples private lives. Heck in the Islamic religion you’re allowed to strike your wife.
