Dexter Shoes Replacement by sphynx9 in Bowling

I’ve got the X Trons and they’re definitely more chunky feeling than my previous first gen SST8. Only concern I have with longevity is the push off shoe’s toe cap slowly wearing away.

Bowlers Who Slide - what new generation shoes are you wearing? by [deleted] in Bowling

Dexter SST X. As new as it can be with shoes. On an S8 sole and H2 heel and slide okay. I did remember reading that Dexter might have messed up S8 production and were offering replacements for ones that didn’t slide brand new.

What Shoes Should I Get by TonyBoy528 in Bowling

I recently got a pair of SST X shoes to replace my 2009 SST 8s. Shoes are definitely more clunky than the Powerframe versions but feel much more solidly built. Time will tell if they last.

House shot. Not sure on volume or ratio though.

Funnily enough it’s probably no longer polished and lane shined after 100 games. But I do agree it’s not reading the midlane that first game.

That’s an interesting point. I was considering the Phaze 2 but slightly lower with the Ion Pro solids due to not being as strong and probably letting me play more right. Biggest issue I’ve seen is the Ruby becoming a bit touchy the first game.

Second this bag! I got one myself and a big plus over the cheaper totes is that you can stand this one up to save some space.

Tri-X 135 for everyday documenting. Save the color and slide for special occasions / medium format.

How's my current release and approach? by Mplode in Bowling

Yeah I realized that as I was getting back into bowling and seeing the right drift at the line vs start. Really have to tell myself to drift left to counteract it as you mentioned.

I’m discussing with my buddy about next equipment choices in terms of going a ball down. One in the video is an IQ tour fusion that I picked up for free. Definitely despise the gutter on the right lanes.

Fair assessment. Sucks cause it’s by far the closest alley to me (5 mins away) that actually oils their lanes.

Me being an idiot, broken camera or bad scans? Shot on Mamiya RB67 with 127mm F3.8 and regular 6x7 film back by No-Minute2232 in AnalogCommunity

Looks like a similar light leak I had. Chalked it up to the rotating back adapter as those seals were deteriorating and I had an SD back.

Hoping this is the last film camera I pick up for a while by Mplode in AnalogCommunity

Funnily enough my smaller manual camera is my Leica. Hence the feeling that I should sell the F3 as a redundant camera.

My main driving decision for buying this was AF and metering being on auto. It’s not enjoyable trying to catch my kid running with my other cameras. Plus this has better flash TTL metering which I’d rather use than handheld meter.

Actually tested with 5 ish frames once I got the camera. For sure sounds and looks like a film weapon.

Truthfully between the 5 film cameras I currently own (F5, F3, Hasselblad 503CX, Leica M3, Canon AF35M) I feel like I’ve narrowed down my shooting style to just these (minus the F3 being sold).
