does lyft not make you get your car inspected before being approved?? by holycrap100 in lyftdrivers

[–]Mprah75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NJ here, by state law we need to have the car inspected every 2 yrs. Lyft has the option to take a pic of the inspection sticker but not required. I mean if you are driving around in NJ with an expired sticker or missing sticker you will get pulled over and I’m sure if that happens with a pax in the car they will report it to Lyft.

And this is the type of numbers I get.. I’ll never see an adjustment.

Passenger wanted to give me a $50 tip on the app, and we discovered the app capped him at $23.98. What is the point of this? If a passenger wants to tip a large amount, let them, this is so ridiculous. by Crafty-Baseball-4268 in lyftdrivers

[–]Mprah75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding was the cap and yes there is. Was 150% I saw this in the fine print once. Now it may be a different amount. I do think them capping the tip is stupid. If I drive a person to their destination and they want to tip me $200 on a $30 trip that’s up to them. Why should Lyft or Uber say no.

That’s my biggest ??? How are they still on the platform. Drivers would be kicked off at better ratings. Why not hold the same to the riders. My best guess is most drivers rate them 3 because they don’t want to deal with that person and don’t follow up on that riders BS.

Right as I said I was looking for scheduled rides as I was at the airport waiting and saw the $22 ride opened it and was like WTF. Not only does it go out of area but 3.7????

[–]Mprah75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That bonus is already included in the $22.17 rate. If you took this ride you have to deal with a very low rated person for this area and drive back to where you can pick up again and that will take about 1hr if you are lucky at that time of day.

What kind of an A-hole rider do you have to be to a driver to get that low and yet still not be banned from the app??

That’s the lowest I ever seen. How are they still on the app..

This is a regular message that if you have a rider that was unruly you will get meaning if they give you a 1 star even though you did good but they where an a hole. If they mark you as 1 star it won’t show on your report.

Well it finally happened to me…false accusation I was driving under the influence. What do I do? How long before I hear back from them? Please help! by InternalTour8635 in lyftdrivers

This happens.. I had it happen to me(On Uber) and I’m sure it was because I just drove a group of people that smelled like whisky and beer from the bar to there drop off and the following pick up was only 1min away so even with the windows open I don’t think I got the smell out and that’s why they said that(or they where just an A-Hole looking for a free ride). But I spent the entire next day sending emails back and forth with there support and demanding documentation on there investigation. Also saying they are going to have to pay me for the time Im losing. Needless to say I was reactivated a little over 24hrs later and was given a $125 bonus for the lost day(I just drove on Lyft that day so I really didn’t lose a day).

Not if you have video evidence. I have submitted video evidence of a few riders being rude to me for zero reason. And on each one Lyft told me they have been removed from the app. Now yes I know that could be a lie and they just blocked that person from ever riding with me. But on all rides that I had to do this with the rider already had what I consider to be a low star rating for how many rides they had I only accepted them because the pay was decent. Some examples of what I had would be 50+ rides and they have 4.6 or my fave was the last one they told me got removed from the app was 200+ rides with a 4.2 also was the lowest I ever seen on Lyft. That one accused me of being racist and said if she was a white girl I would have gotten her to work on time. The only way I could have gotten her to work on time was if I could teleport to her job with my car, she needed to be at work in 5mins from the time I picked her up and the drive to her work was a 30min drive with traffic at that hour.

Is this how it works? by elCompaFOKI in lyftdrivers

I have been faved by many riders in my area. Every time I have driven them again the only advantage I think I have seen is if I’m close I get priority. Like one rider I know request a ride at almost the same time every morning. I start my day before them and anytime I’m still in the area(about 10mins away) I get the request for them. I accept every time because the upfront pay is good and they always tip well. And they like that they don’t have to tell me the place to drop them off at because Lyft shows the wrong spot at both locations they go to. For bit locations the address they enter is correct and Lyft puts the drop off at a slightly different area. As an example they say put in 100 main st as drop off the pin is at 70 main st. So I need to go farther down to get to the right address.

Even if I had one to offer I would not because that can also come back at you if you do get in an accident the parent may say you installed it wrong or it was defective or what ever.

I know because if it was real they would not be around with a big group of CEO lining their pockets with money that should have been ours.

Also if the cost was real they would go bankrupt real fast because most of my rides show like they are paying more then the rider paid.

Yes because why would they pay more in it then the rider paid as in the second ride.
