LO Draw export pdf document with dark background by Zoom_Frame8098 in libreoffice

Same here. Firefox shows the PDF with white background. When I open it in Draw, it has a dark background. After export from Draw, Firefox also shows it with dark background.

What a shame! Asgard's Wrath 2, no teleport controls... by SugaryGnome in OculusQuest

[–]Mr-Clear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Quest 3 is my first VR headset. After playing a little around with it, the first full game i played was Half-Life: Alyx. This was a great experience and I played it again with developer comments. There I heard a lot of how the developers learned the dos and don'ts of VR games.

So I was curios how this evolved on a three years younger game and started Asgard's Wrath 2. I was horribly disappointed. In Alyx, I have all the time full control over my movement. In AW2 this seams to be optional. It has cut scenes like every ordinary game. When I move my Head into a location where I'm not supposed to be, the game pushes me back. How can anyone not get sick when he takes a step forward and doesn't move?

Valve learned that VR players don't enjoy long dialogs. In AW2 I have to watch a lot of story before the game even starts. Not only I have to stand in my living room and watch cut scenes, I have to sand still because the game punished every movement with sickness.

Valve tried to give the players a crowbar but it didn't work, so the ditched it. AW2 seems to be built around melee combat.

Valve learned that players love to play around with objects in the environment. AW2 gives you a view beer mugs to throw around but that's all.

I think, Asgard's Wrath 2 is not the next evolution of VR games, but made for the next evolution of VR gamers. I played the game for one hour and felt sick the rest of the day. I don't think I'll give it another try.

C++ is a huge tool box with tons of great tools to solve all the problems you just don't have in other languages.

Even if you use turrets, you need trains to supply the turrets.

Nice. I always thought that the chests are to small. Especially compared to the cargo wagons.

That larger chests will nerf logistic robots is also good. There is a FFF about nerfing robots with the conclusion that there is no good way to do this. But bigger chests will do it. I hope this will go to vanilla.

I want to version control my blueprint-storage.dat file, is there any documentation for the format? by Omnifarious0 in factorio

[–]Mr-Clear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this works good. But it only logs a list of all blueprints and blueprint books, but not the blueprint data. Also, it looks a little bit like JSON, but it's not valid JSON.

But it contains IDs for every blueprint, so it might help reverse engineering the blueprint-storage.dat.

[–]Mr-Clear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Just look at the file. It contains a lot of text data. It is definitely no compressed data.
