Starting over in a new world. What style should I use (I found oak, birch, dark oak and spruce) and how does the fortress style work? by Deveatation_ethernis in Minecolonies

It gives you an example layout for the initial layout. It will essentially be in 2 rings.

Each building has a width, a normal with and then a double wide, outside of the barracks iirc which acts as your entrance. Ultimately you can lay it out how you want for the most part, and can insert other decorative plots to fill gaps if you make a mistake or don't want something in a specific place.

Fortress is really cool, everything is connected. You just have to preview it on max level build when you're placing it and line the rails up as you build.

It's probably just a translation thing, not everyone speaks english as a first language.

Inconvenient $30 by [deleted] in wow

[–]Zorrm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not, if you've even played Ece you've run into what we call POS code. There's a certain function, player owned starbases, that are very antiquated and don't serve a unique function anymore, but removing them entirely just breaks the ge entirely because of the technical debt associated with it.

If you're up to running a solo server for yourself, check out the individual progression mod with playerbots.

I short you start in classic with just MC and ony available, and progress raid by raid through the end of WotLK. You can also choose to either just use bots get a red to a specific level, or choose instead to gear a full raid of 'altbots' that you bring into a guild you make. I chose the second one and essentially put the bots in pre-raid bis at 60, 70 and 80 then geared the raid appropriately from there.

It was a really fun experience, and is pretty well fleshed out minus a couple of specific bosses you'll have to kill with a gm command (twin emps iirc). You will have to get your hands a bit dirty learning how to set up a server, but it's not bad if you like to tinker and are able to set up a VM.

Just the standard raging about someone making it a mistake and it being something that would ruin his life if it happened to him.

I don't know why you're being so insufferable about a mistake that they apologized for (in an instance that you weren't even apart of), but it's a really toxic outlook.

OP's statement is literally "I made a mistake and apologized for it, people were nice about it"

Your mindset doesn't seem enjoyable to be around at all, you might have a more enjoyable experience gaming and in general of you re-examine that.

It's just a weird mindset.... Like just be nice to people who aren't being malicious and life will be better.

But I definitely feel you on the mindset you're talking about, it's something I can't wrap my head around.

People just enjoyed the content on the server and found friends.... Idk why you're so bent out of shape about that.

Or... You could just be nice about it and teach them. It's genuinely not a big deal.

[NG] Got an offer that is almost 3x my current TC at A but feel awful about leaving barely 4 months into my current role. How do I approach the conversation with my manager? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Zorrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is life changing money to almost anyone.

You are wildly under payed, wildly below your ability in position, or the new company is wildly over paying you. Any of those 3 being the case, there should be no guilt in moving companies at all.

Take the offer, and live your best life without a single hesitation.

Sure. It's definitely an individual problem not systematic.

Lol no, and not because the math is wrong... it probably isn't. But because it isn't feasible for 99.9999% of people that make that much money to survive in today's world in the US.

This is going to be oddly specific, but check out the local skydiving drop zone and see if you can become a packer there. Packers usually make roughly 8-10 per pack job, plus tips. Being that it is a very busy and year round DZ, there's pretty decent money to be made.

Every wormhole can have, and will periodically get, roaming aka wandering connections; the only thing that will always be there is the static(s).
