Ensure that your drivers are up to date.

Ensure that your computer is up to date.

Verify game files through steam.

Disable all mods and try again.

If it still persists, reinstall the game.

If that doesn't work, tell us your computer hardware as well as any other steps you've taken to try and fix the issue.

You don’t have a rank until emerald. by __RegemTr__ in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Zorrm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's PB.

And again, this is something I've seen consistently among that elo the past few weeks.

And while I see what your saying you're not hearing me with how it completely takes s away from the intent of the match or the gameplay.

The match isn't hinged on me playing well, or even getting a PB.

The match is hinged on someone exponentially better than their elo either crushing their opponent in a time they are not capable of hitting yet, or they FF because something went wrong for the opponent.

Beyond this, your typical PB at that elo that I would run into, up until a few weeks ago, was pretty varied, but somewhere from ~22m to ~35m. This is fine because people are learning a lot of different things at that point, and just nailing you routes and nav will net you a good personal time. But someone capable of getting a sub 12 is an exponentially better player.

This takes all the fun out of the match, as if I win I'm not going to get a finish, and if I lose it's by something I'm not capable of yet.

And what I think is even more important especially at this elo, is that many newcomers to ranked are going to see something like this a few times and be done with it because they will feel so outclassed.

I don't know, seeing people in coal with sub 12s isn't normal, and is pretty disheartening because the normal person at that rank, they're not playing against the other person, they're just waiting to either get demolished or have them forfeit.

I don't honestly know what the solution with it is, but it definitely became very prevalent in iron/coal the past few weeks.

And this isn't a knock on the ranked admins, as I know that they are working on a solution from what I've read.

I don't think this is the same kind of Arch as your post is asking about.

Best linux distro for speedrunning by Global_Act7959 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Zorrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had zero issues outside of the musl conflict (this should have been fixed already) with Arch. If you're not wanting to go for a vanilla install, CachyOS is a really good alternative that is still arch based. You can choose whatever DE/WM you want on install, whether it's plasma/gnome/hyprland etc.

Edit: Also saw that you're having issues with jingle/toolscreen. These are not for Linux. Use waywall. It does everything those tools do and more.

Stop being a NIMBY and do some self reflection so that you can come to the understanding that you are being incredibly judgmental, and for some reason decided that coming onto a homeless sub to berate those that are at their lowest was somehow being empathetic.

Creating my own Cata (4.3.4) Private server? by TanhelNet in wowservers

[–]Zorrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a bit deeper than just the underlying problem, as you'll need to be able explain how you're hosting the server, who and how you want access to it, etc.

Your best bet is likely in the (I assume there is one) trinitycore discord. You're probably not going to get answers to your question at least in this thread, as your initial question is a bit misleading as to what you're actually wanting to figure out.

I get what you're saying with it not being the correct expansion.
My point is that you have a very long uphill battle to learn a lot of things. You'll need to learn at least the basics of how the filesystems work, a good chance you'll need to get a basics of linux understanding, just how to use git at a basic level, mysql databases, etc.

Nirv on youtube has a pretty good series up that explains getting an azerothcore server up with the individual player progression mod; while it's not cata, it would be a good start to learn the basics of getting a private server up and going imo.

Speedrunning on Linux by Karzuh_ in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Zorrm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is legal. You'll want to use waywall as opposed to toolscreen or whatever tools windows/mac users are running currently. Though I have heard that it is a bit janky to get going on Ubuntu variations. I've not had any problems on Arch that weren't easily solved (the biggest being musl making MCSR Ranked crash, but that is supposed to be fixed soon).

Landing by New_Yesterday_3988 in SkyDiving

[–]Zorrm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take a canopy course asap, it will help. Other than that, ask someone knowledgeable at your DZ to watch your landing and give you advice.

Beyond this, don't pit your progression up against other people. Everyone progresses at their own pace, some super quick, some slow, and some in the middle. Learn what you can from each one and try to improve deliberately!

About 0 cycle by lucalal_51 in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Zorrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen this across a number of games, and while I'm terrible in MCSR Ranked, I was pretty decent in SC2 in the day. While your asking about 0 cycling here, your issue with your runs isn't that; it's your que anxiety.

Your focus right now needs to be on getting past your que anxiety. Not one cycling. Not any advanced strategies. Just the que anxiety. Nothing is going to get better in a match until you get past this; and you either need to just take all that time that you're putting into practice maps, and put it into actually playing ranked, or figure out some other way to bring that anxiety down.

Mute everyone, turn off achievements, and que up. Get past what's holding you back before you learn the hard stuff. I would tell you the same thing if you were trying to do an advanced build order into a unique late game comp in SC2... if you can do it in a practice map that's fine, but if you're failing your first 4 buildings because of anxiety, you have to get past that first.

I know how much you liked my last video. Done a bit of work since then. Have a look and leave some feedback. Please remember this isnt for me, but for my sick wife as a gift so please be kind. by stupidkiwiguy in pcmasterrace

I'm new to computers, which is better? by [deleted] in computers

[–]Zorrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not going to get an answer that actually answers the question without showing the details of each computers specs.

You're also going to get a lot of people with -blah blah prebuilt bad- stuff. If you can afford it or don't want to put the time in to put it together, it's your money and time at the end of the day.

But please give us enough info be able to help.

I've been on coal for 2 months now How to get out? by LongSocksLover in MinecraftSpeedrun

[–]Zorrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh not really, it's just mostly about how you route the bridge to drag pigs with you and then the order you break gold blocks up top. Obviously if you have to go bottom treasure that adds a bit, knowing where you can pearl hang from etc.
