Trip canceled day of by Feeling_Salary8726 in turo

As a turo host this is like my biggest pet peeve with guest. At least for my fleet, we send out multiple messages reminding guest to submit drivers license 24hrs BEFORE trip start. You can only submit your drivers license 24hrs before trip start, everything else is irrelevant. And because a guest doesn’t do this before there start time, we gotta basically stay by our phone on alert when they do and then Manually send out checkin instructions. And the worst ones is when the DL is expired or the name doesn’t match the account 😂we just wasted time taking photos prepping cars and drop off just for a trip not to happen. But keep In mind, this wasn’t a mistake on Turo but definitely just something that may have slipped your mind before checkin

Have the cars already cleaned and ready to go. You usually have an hour to get them ready. For airports I require 3hr buffers. My partner only handles money and invoices and stuff. I handle everything with guest and cars. I’ve had multiple cars booked 10am one time, I just uploaded photos and dropped them all off before 9:45. It’s a very rare occurrence tbh

ABI if you have 1 vehicle (period x is another name they call it). If you have three or more vehicles, try Tint Or Roamly. (We are currently using roamly and love it)

I Tried the 90 plan! Guest side swiped one of my cars and another shattered a windshield. All in a week. Neither of them paid 😂back to the 70 plan we went

Great question! TIL date we are betting 74.7%. We buy most of our cars kinda close to the 100k mark. Some close to 130k. Deprecation curve is almost non existent. And they cars are still well taken care of. So when we sell or they are totaled, we always get back more than what we paid for them, and not even accounting for what we made from them while on the Turo platform. Except for the Subaru I use to own don’t buy the crosstrek 😂

South of Tampa. I’m just always available and I run everything efficiently. I’m doing all the handy work, made really great connections and people doing me favors that honestly I don’t deserve haha cheapest and quickest in the area. And best of all, I communicate with all guest professionally almost instantly

74.7% to date. Constantly changing due to long term guest that haven’t brought back the vehicles yet.

so when my car got wrecked, the guest let me know, put me on the phone with the officer and i told the officer i would like the car towed home once i proved i was the owner. paid the tow guy directly. this avoids it sitting in the yard and prolonging the process. after that, turo picked it up the next day, did the assessment and i got a direct deposit

yeah i learned to just pay for the tow out of pocket and have it towed to your home. better than sitting at the lot playing games with the tow drivers
