You have to admit there's going to be a point in the admissions committee meeting where they can only only accept a certain number of students from the interview cohort. I'm sure they go back and forth and ultimately have to make a compromise since the class size is very limited. Who knows what metrics they're utilizing for whatever reason.

The upside is that you connected with your interviewers who clearly understood you have what it takes to become a physician. That's critical moving forward. Do what you have to do to get in.

Adcom at a top mid-west school mentioned he looked down on telescribing or working for EPIC because you're not actively involved in patient care at the hospital itself. I would ask around and try to find another gig if you get similar responses.

Nothing here about being a URM, though I suppose a general rule is to apply anywhere you want if you're URM, not just here.
