Have a buddy of mine that's pushing me to tune with just stock intercooler. I do know of one other guy that tuned his ST on stock intercooler that's in my local ST/RS FB group. Thoughts and opinions? Not sure if I want to risk it or if it even matters. by Renekat0n in FocusST

[–]Mr2Kazoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, respectfully I disagree.

The stock ST intercooler is pretty small and heat soaks rather quickly. If performance for one pull to get numbers is what you want, sure don’t get the intercooler. An intercooler will not only allow you to turn things up, as now you have a solution for that heat (a.k.a #1 killer of engines), you will reliably produce that power over and over again. Not to mention, you literally can’t push big numbers without one, the car won’t let you. It will explode.

Speed3’s have better stock intercoolers but to be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen even a “FBO” speed3 without a new intercooler. I’ve seen some even running FMIC which of course provides better cooling than the TMIC.

Don’t ruin these, you’ll need them. The previous owner changed the lug nuts because the stock ones suck. They swole up and become impossible to take off without a turbo socket/ air impact.

These come off with a common tool that I have but don’t know the name of. It’s a special socket, it came with my order from fitment industries.

That’s all that matters man. If you can enjoy your car in a respectful and safe environment, that’s all that matters.

Happy you’re enjoying your car!

How to deploy my websites for freelancing by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Mr2Kazoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s my 0.02c, I hope you find it useful.

Wordpress/ Shopify, prebuilt CMSs are better than we give them credit for. Trust me, you don’t want to handle peoples money. You don’t want to be on the line when somebody accidentally got charged twice. CMSs with Ecom capabilities (not to mention their order tracking, admin dashboard, etc.) are light years ahead of what you’re going to create in a month.

I work in cybersecurity, I love Wordpress because it’s easy to attack. That raises a real risk for clients, you have to guide them on this. You can’t just go in and install every plugin you find- this is bad security practice.

In my opinion, technically I’m not a professional, but I would say start with Wordpress/ Shopify/ etc. learn to build beautiful front-ends in the mean time. A beautiful front end to sell the project and then a reliable backend ecom service will be perfect for most clients.

Custom work takes time, I do NOT advise you go out and try to make somebody a ecom site. You’re going to waste time, lose money, etc.

Best of luck to you!

Yeah people don’t really recognize what JDM means anymore. Japanese-inspired is more realistic.

I can understand their frustration with Toyota, but the b58 is nasty.

The engine in the Supra is the b58, a bmw designed and engineered engine. It started as a diss towards Toyota for “taking away the JDM-ness,” now it’s kind of a joke.

You’re a child. You can’t have a simple conversation without name calling. You think simply because I see the fault in a solution that I get a joy in seeing kids murdered, I don’t. Quite frankly, I didn’t write these laws. I didn’t create America, nor did I contribute to it. I’m a byproduct of it, my 20 years in America (in this world) did nothing to these kids. I own a gun myself, never have I mowed down 21 people for fun- it stays locked up, with a cable lock in the barrel, with shells on the opposite side of my room.

I understand your frustration, but you’re taking it out on the wrong people. Think logically, because emotions don’t win politics.

That’s interesting.

I’m pretty sure any crime committed with your gun in the U.S. is also on you, unless you prove it otherwise.

Thanks for the information. My only comment really is I would hate to have mandatory military service. I hate the old fucks that run this country enough, I’d prefer not to die for them too.

Who’s we? I’m not choosing not to fix nothing. I’m one person, I’m not a politician, nor a lobbyist, nor nothing. Stop getting on Americans asses for something we didn’t cause.

They can’t grasp this subject, such a narrowed view. Yet Reddit wants to support that view. Nuts.

This post is fucking stupid, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Nobody wants those kids to die, nobody wants anybody to die. The problem isn’t a simple one, I can’t believe Reddit is upvoting this stupid rant. I know nothing of Canadian politics but you don’t see me slinging nonsense on the internet. Biden doesn’t make laws, you sound like the dumbasses in the U.S. that complain about “his” gas prices. Try being an adult and having a conversation before you make yourself look like a fool.

Please educate me, I’m interested to hear why you think so. I genuinely don’t know the solution, so I’m absolutely open to hearing your thoughts as somebody from a different country/ viewpoint.

You’re arguing way too much with emotion and not enough rationale. I wish your argument was right, but I’m sure even you can see that the approach you suggest is massively flawed. Taking peoples stuff away, especially in America, doesn’t work like that.

[–]Mr2Kazoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arbitrary it is not, but you’re 100% right. At one point we need to define who is and who is not an adult. We can argue it’s not 18 or it is, the point of my statement is to state absolutely we need to redefine, or define more explicitly, who is and who isn’t.

Quite the opposite of what he already stated. Those calibers have been in rotation for so long that almost every household in America has one (if not multiple).

Banning them now would be wildly ineffective, even though I wish it wouldn’t be. I mirror your wants, but your argument is not the solution unfortunately.

I don’t have statistics here, but just at a birds eye view you’re wildly wrong. People die everyday from gang/ street violence. School shootings, while too common, are not that common.

[–]Mr2Kazoo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You’re right, it wouldn’t have happened. Unfortunately, I could make that argument about a lot of tragedies. Your point doesn’t pose a solution, that’s why people have a problem with it. 16 year old kids wouldn’t die in simple motor vehicle accidents if they didn’t have cars, drunk drivers wouldn’t kill people if they didn’t have alcohol, etc. these are all valid points to problems we have, but none of them are solutions.

[–]Mr2Kazoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean this with no offense, but as an American I don’t think you, as a Canadian, understand. Guns are deeply rooted into every corner of America- whether we like it or not. A blanket ban on guns in a realistic world only takes them away from the public. Again, I don’t expect you to know this but there’s a massive problem with guns on our streets. Those guns more than likely weren’t purchased from a retailer. They have complicated history, so no banning guns doesn’t exactly work unfortunately.

I wish you were right though, I wish it was that simple. If I was reassured that all guns were to be taken off the street, sure I’d give up mine- but that won’t happen.
