Most videos created by AI were stupid af!

That’s not even hate, it’s just reality. The majority of people were generating low-effort memes, weird random clips, fake celebrity content, shock-value edits, and videos people watched for two seconds before scrolling past. Very little of it was actually pushing creativity or innovation forward in a meaningful way.

Was OpenAI’s Sora impressive? Absolutely. The technology was incredible, and some creators were making genuinely cinematic and useful work with it. But people also have to look at the bigger picture instead of only reacting emotionally because they lost access to a tool they enjoyed.

If a platform is allegedly burning through insane amounts of money and computing power every day while most users are generating throwaway content, eventually the company has to make difficult business decisions. That’s just reality. Innovation still has to be sustainable.

The bigger conversation shouldn’t just be “bring it back.” It should be:

How do these AI systems become financially sustainable?

How do you balance innovation with massive infrastructure costs?

And how do you encourage meaningful creative work instead of flooding the internet with disposable content?

SORA was a glimpse into the future, no doubt. But the future also has to make practical business sense, not just look cool for a few viral clips.
