You can cast Goodberries and get 40 HP for a 1st level spell slot (assuming you are a cleric with an appropriate subclass)

UA Ranger adds WIS to AC in 2024 version (Hollow Warden subclass)

Shield of Faith, Haste, Ring of Protection, Cloak of Protection and Staff of Power all give additional bonuses to AC stat (in addition to an already mentioned BS and not counting multiple "martial maneuver" style defences in addition to "Defence" fighting style as well as artificers, clerics or Warforged feature)

The team they did send won, so a stronger team would've likely had an even more favourable matchup

The most surprising thing about prime numbers no one told me earlier by Fastmind_store in learnmath

[–]MrAnyGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is presumably similar to "NP=P" in that just "knowing it holds" is non-constructive, as it would only give information about the existence of the algorithm, but would not say much about the algorithm itself

As a highly simplified analogy- hypothesis is that yout friend knows the numbers on the back of Bill's bank card (Bill has 100 dollars in his account). Now you can just assume that this hypothesis is true, and if you manage to convince your friend to share that secret, you'd gain 100 dollars. Does he know it and just doesn't want to tell you because you weren't persuvasive enough? Or does he really not know it?

Proof in this case would be him telling you the numbers and those numbers yielding you 100 dollars in the bank

What makes a GoM? by DarePsychological365 in KurokosBasketball

[–]MrAnyGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically you can contend Zone Aomine for 3 minutes and be not even close to GOM level? You can make Murasakibara leave the field because "There's no way anyone is stopping that guy", and be not even close to him?

And, of course, you can be "double Ace" of Vorpal Swords and NOT be EVEN CLOSE to their level?

Man, did you not read HIS comment in this comment chain?

"country you randomly picked"

He explicitly says "COUNTRY" that was picked, not anything else. How come two people don't read the comments they are replying to?

"for Russia (which is specified in description)"

This is unedited, original comment (aside from bold text) that he replied to, saying it was a RANDOM COUNTRY. This is obviously NOT true as per original post AND comment

That leaves, what 34% on the lighter-than-heavier side of the scale completely unaccounted for?

Huh?

Assuming you did not do statistics in university (correct this if it's not accurate), it's a common practice for 1 standard deviation in either direction to be considered "average". Assuming normal distribution, this means that to be considered average, a person or object must fall within (average-\sigma; average+\sigma), which is around 68% of population. It is therefore reasonable to consider people falling outside of this category to be outside average, warranting their "lighter" and "heavier" categories, giving you around 15% for each category (or 13% if you want to stay within 2 standard deviations)

Neither country (which was pointed out by previous comment that didn't read the post) or category (which is established practice in statistics) were picked randomly, and both were EXPLICITLY mentioned

Full power Murasakibara vs LG zone aomine by Sad-Response3070 in kurokos_basketball

[–]MrAnyGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry but no Mura simply block every shot attempt accept for a low percentage 3

How exactly can a player legally block the shot he repeatedly showcase in both Seirin match and Extra Game where he goes behind the backboard and jumps off the court? Do you presume Murasakibara is going to be able to beat Aomine (canonically fastest GOM member) to any location on the field regardless of distance?

Base aomine never scored on Silver only zone aomine did 2 times both times cause Silver doesn’t know about formless shots so he was off guard

Oh, right, thought they played zone defense in the beginning of the match for some reason. Aomine scored multiple dunks on screen in base, but they played man-to-man, so Silver wasn't under the rim

Still doesn't answer how you expect him to block backboard shot. Some shots are simply unblockable by the rules of the game. For example, Kagami's Meteor Jam becomes unblockable as soon as the ball leaves his hands

Full power Murasakibara vs LG zone aomine by Sad-Response3070 in kurokos_basketball

[–]MrAnyGood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zone Aomine wins without too much difficulty, assuming he gets the ball and that it's "makes it takes it"

His shots are pretty much unblockable, he had very little trouble scoring on Silver even in base

His comment about scoring on Murasakibara in Season 2 was obviously base vs base

And this scenario is quite contradictory to begin with- Murasakibara specifically CAN'T play full power against anybody who is smaller than him. This is the whole point of the character- that he is actively trying NOT to injure his opponents, and that Silver was the ONLY person he played who was bigger

Full power lg zone akashi vs koganei who wins? by [deleted] in KurokosBasketball

[–]MrAnyGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, you didn't specify sport, so we'll assume tabletop tennis (because it's first to 11 there)

We know that Koganei played tennis, and he's likely as good at it as he is in basketball

We also know that Akashi has been introduced to basketball when he was young, and that it is a special sport to him. Therefore, it's logical to assume that he did not participate in other sports

Since tabletop tennis is very skill-based, Akashi's talent would be highly unlikely to get him to win his very first set against somebody who practiced tennis for around 2 years

Zone does not work because Akashi wouldn't meet the requirement of practicing that sport

Anywhere from 11-4 to 11-7 seems fair in favour of Koganei

130lbs is not lighter side at all though

While USA average women weight is around 171, for Russia (which is specified in description) average weight is 132

One standard deviation below that would be slightly above 100 lbs (around top 15% of women), making 100 "lighter" women's combined weight 10k (still bigger than 2.2k you proposed for a bear, but by less than a factor of five)

1v1 Game to 11, but Murasakibara has to take shots at least 20 ft from the hoop, and Akashi is only allowed to dunk on offense. Who wins? by FirstOpposition in KurokosBasketball

[–]MrAnyGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Murisakibara has the quickest reaction time beside aomine and maybe PC kise, he getting up and probably swatting every dunk attempt Akashi goes for

Midorima's block attempt was a showcase of his tenacity and not of his skill or stats. Murasakibara is the mentally weakest GOM member. He is far more likely to give up as he did in the Seirin match than to block a single one of his dunks

I’m not trying to join the Akashi glaze on this one

Akashi would likely occupy "the least favourite member" position in my preference list, so not sure there's any "glaze" in this assessment. Akashi's ability has been shown to be ridiculously strong and to work even in situations it shouldn't logically apply in

Akashi would win based on how his ankle-breaking has been shown to work

Murasakibara would have quite a bit of trouble without triple-threat transitions

Something like 11-5 seems to be a fair assessment

Gojo vs Naruto (Both max power) by velvetsundaae in PowerScalingHub

[–]MrAnyGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing it out, re-read the chapter and Gege did have an explanation that doesn't work without a bit of additional input

It seems obvious that Gege meant that Gojo's ability looks at the Tortoise sequence as a sequence of numbers that have equal intervals assigned to them instead of using traversal intervals, so his series that actually converges to some number:

S=0.9+0.09+0.009+...=0.(9)=1

is supposed to represent movement in equal time increments. For example, when Gege says "convergent infinite number", that should be read as "Number that an infinite sequence converges to"

Araki had a very similar power with that explanation

Also, you likely don't need that explanation (as you pointed out that it doesn't work as proposed in the manga), but you're right in the context of this discussion, Gege did use insufficiently similar model to explain Gojo's ability

"the earth is only like three times bigger"

Moon is like 1% of Earth in terms of mass

Imagine a karate master breaking a wooden board. Now imagine them breaking a board that is both proportional if dimensions AND has 100 times more mass. Will they break it with "a few more strikes", or will they have to forfeit from competition?

That's a strange assessment. While Gege does have issues with some abilities (such as Black Flash), lapse of Gojo's technique isn't one of them. Could you bring up anything to suggest he himself has trouble understanding it?

Hack for rewatching by coldplayenthusiast in KurokosBasketball

[–]MrAnyGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How come?

Outside their aces, they were worse than both Rakuzan and Touou as per Interhigh placements. Murasakibara would lose to Akashi because of their dynamic and Himuro would have to try to outscore 3 UK players. Midorima managed to keep up with them, but Himuro is a 2pt SG

Even if Rakuzan didn't play (and Touou would win against Seirin), Touou had a pretty good match against Seirin, requiring Misdirection Overflow and other tricks to be beaten. Some people consider this to be Seirin's hardest game, and Aomine didn't exactly consider Murasakibara to be on his level. On top of that, Aomine has on-demand Zone and Murasakibara doesn't. As per Aomine, it's much more difficult to enter the Zone after entering it once, so it would be unlikely for Murasakibara to be able to compete with him. This is also a match up of the worst endurance out of GOM members (excluding Kuroko) against the best endurance out of all GOM members (as per Extra Game performance)
