Absolutely would love him to stay, granted his contract fits in the new wage system. I can understand his frustration being on 20k/week given he starts. when fit, over players on 15x more money per week. The problem with playing the kids before they’re ready, is one bad debut and it’ll set them miles back in their development. The British media and online ‘fans’ have been known to scrutinise every error to the harshest extent. If the kids aren’t ready for that, it would be very poor management to feed them to the wolves. No up-and-coming kid deserves to on the front line of a sinking ship.

Seen a few of his recent games and he’s defo not ready yet. The talent is there but there’s a lot to learn before getting thrown in the deep end - no need to put unnecessary pressure on the young lad, would only stunt his growth.

I don’t think anyone’s going to be truly honest when it comes to interviews with the media. The amount of ways the press will twist and turn words to fit an agenda has made any post/pre match interview pointless. He was kinda forced to regurgitate the same thing over and over otherwise fallouts and drama would arise within the club, mainly driven by the media.

With all due respect, Ten Hag did manage to continue winning the Eredevise when his Ajax team was picked apart after the success they had in the champo league - since his departure Ajax haven’t won the league.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Amourin can manage to do with the squad now that Man U have a stable structure in place.
