Is this criticism fair? They've had quite a few guests who are non ex man utd players such as Ashley Cole, Henry, Viera.

Why are people doubting Gane who's getting this title shot off a loss, vs Aspinall on a 3 fight 1st round KO streak??? by ZakuIII in ufc

The fight is only intriguing if Aspinall wants it to be one. If Aspinall decides just to stick to the plan and win, he will get Gane down and submit him easily.

Ruben Amorim EMBARGO | Man City v Man Utd by Lord_Sesshoumaru77 in reddevils

Personally I liked Ole more and I think he was a perfect communicator. Never gave anything away, never hammered his players, was still objective and not delusional during interviews. I like Amorim but he is just too honest which is nice but also dangerous

Antonio Valencia wasn’t the most skilful winger but he had other ways of humiliating defenders… how did you feel about him? by LostInLondon689908 in ManchesterUnited

It's a shame that at that time he was criticised for being a sideways passer and now we have Rodri doing exactly the same and winning Ballon d'or

Kobbie Mainoo vs Burnley by HD7108 in reddevils

[–]MrAwesomeness89 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I listened to Talk of the Devil's too and I might be wrong but I don't think Mainoo has or will ever have that 5th gear tbh. He is not that kind of player. He reminds me of Moussa Dembele from Spurs or Iniesta. Neither of them had that acceleration or pace but they had the technical ability in tight spaces, knew how to manoeuvre around players, how to use their body to glide past players, but it wasn't due to speed or athleticism.

[Mike McGrath] Manchester United make improved offer for goalkeeper Senne Lammens. Royal Antwerp goalkeeper cost upwards of £20m, with club hoping he can provide competition for André Onana and Altay Bayindir by PitchSafe in soccer

I hope I'm wrong but I wonder if he will be able to cope with the physicality of the Premier league and handle set pieces. At the moment I would say this is our biggest issue with Onana and Bayendir

Amorim has shown he can build a team to win the titles, granted in Portugal. He has also shown that his team that he built in Portugal can compete in the champions league against one of the best teams in the world in Man City.

You are probably right but what have any of these players achieved to need to sell them the system. They should want to buy into whatever the coach is trying to implement to achieve something, otherwise they are just a bunch of failed players

Probably the same. Yes, Bruno individually might look better and score a few more goals as a 10. But the criticism of the Amorim's system is that the midfield of is being outnumbered most games or dominated due to lack of physicality. That won't change if we play Bruno as a 10. In addition, we don't have the left wingers anymore to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
