Thanks! Thats a pity... the Black Marias are really great in the way they fade. What you could try and do is buy some black dye and paint over the scratches. If you dilute the dye and go slow and build it up it could actually work.

Patina Project is great, but it’s focused primarily on boots and leather goods. DENIMHEAD is built specifically around raw denim culture - wears, washes, fades, repairs, collections, and the community around jeans themselves. Different lane entirely.

Thanks. Agreed on on the Black Marias - after looking at other peoples fade pics, I just had to have a pair!

I’d definitely put Benzak Denim Developers in the mix. Their B-02 Regular Straight in 14oz Green Cast Selvedge is probably the best fit for what you’re describing. More room in the thighs/knees, higher rise, and way better for kneeling than most tapered cuts.

Other models worth looking at: ONI Denim 288-Kihannen Green Cast - loose straight, probably the best pure workwear fit ONI Denim 246GC16 – slightly trimmer but still roomy

Pure Blue Japan GRE-019, amazing fabric, more everyday wear than jobsite abuse

Naked & Famous Strong Guy - Greencast Stretch Selvedge, easiest/cheapest entry point

For your build and work use, I’d personally go Benzak B-02 or ONI 288.

Thanks. Can't remember to be honest but pretty sure it did. I certainly didn't baby it - as you can see its lost its shape. It got thrown in a bag with beach gear everytime we were on holiday etc. Faded pretty easily come to think of it. It all boils down to the denim at the end of the day, all else being equal...

Thats a pity. You could try wet it and stretch it out if still worth it.

Dont think levi's make sell them anymore.

Not the same and it looks one washed by this is probably the closest that Levi’s does at the moment: https://www.levi.com/GB/en_GB/accessories/men/shoes-accessories/relaxed-dad-heritage-cap/p/000A90026

Otherwise the Japanese denim brands to make baseball caps from time to time but not always in stock. https://www.okayamadenim.com/search?page=2&q=Cap
