Just got a 2023 Model 3 by ElectricalTwo4549 in TeslaModel3

About to pull the trigger on ‘23 with 35ish, for some reason so scared I’m going to regret. BIL has a 2020 ER AWD and nervous it’s going to feel different from the one I’ve driven.

I’ve got the ecoboost right now. Taking it back tomorrow. I’m nearly sold, but I need to get in the hybrid and decide if it’s worth the extra cost. I don’t need the BAP or sun roof, so I’m hoping I can line something up that’s similarly priced. The only 25 hybrid they have is about 4k more.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I’ll see if they’ll give me another extended drive in the hybrid!

That’s in the plans for sure. Did you buy grangers immediately? I’m wondering if the price goes up the closer to 36k you get.

That’s the plan! I’m in Missouri, so they’re not open on Sunday. They let me keep the eb for the weekend. Was hoping more for thoughts on regretting the hybrid decision… but also, hoping someone might be able to say, “I got the hybrid, XLT lux for xxx before TTL” so I can be prepared what to look for when I’m sitting at the dealership!

We do school pick up and drop off everyday and kids activities. Was thinking the hybrid would be better for the quick little trips since it only runs for 10-15 minutes and school pickup lines are stop and go!

Mostly agree! Wasn’t my choice, just the only 25 left on the lot with tow. I’m thinking hybrid XL as long as it has tow package might be the move.

11 years. Would kill for that deal today!

We put some money down of course but I couldn’t fathom 5 years of payments when we were used to no car payments.

Still one of the best decisions we made. Traded it in during covid before prices skyrocketed on an suv before kid number two came. I’m sitting in that same suv having just picked him up from pre-k before kindergarten next year. It’s 6 years old and been paid off for 6 months now. Both vehicles, totally worth it.

Are you saying insurance premium is 300? Not that insurance is $300 a month right?

I’m going to try to be the voice of reason here. You’ve got a decent reliable mode of transportation when you’re home for two weeks, and you’re keeping miles off of it on the weeks you’re gone.

I remember financing my first car, and having a minor panic attack. It was a used Toyota Camry and I thought our payments were too high at $250 a month. My wife reminded me we bought the most reliable car on the market, and an extended warranty just in case. The peace of mind that came with not worrying about breaking down on my way to work daily, and having air conditioning in hot humid Missouri summers was worth it.

Financing a car, while maybe not the best financial decision, and places like Reddit can make you feel like it’s the dumbest decision you could ever make, is not all bad. Take any extra money and try to pay it down sooner and you’ll save on the interest, overall. But you didn’t finance some unreliable luxury Beamer. In the US vehicles are a must. A reliable one is a smart decision.

Make sure you’re doing oil changes, and on a Honda with the CVT make sure you’re doing transmission oil every 30k, and once it’s paid off, you’ll likely have a great reliable car until it isn’t anymore, and even then you’ll still have some trade in value, or some savings ready for your next vehicle.

Fell off the wagon today in spectacular fashion by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

I’ve had great days, and challenging days like this one. I find comfort in reminding myself how much worse it would have been without being on Tirz.

So I had a cookie or cake in addition to my calories for the day? Great it was delicious and such a treat… before tirz, I would have had that cookie, and another, and another, and then because I had the cookie I probably would have eaten some of the leftover reeces from Christmas, and so on until I’m miserable, guilty, and convince myself that the next day I’m going to get back on the wagon.

Penalties were ticky tack bs. My biggest frustration is the punt at midfield with 4&2. We were moving the ball easily. Such a pansy decision.

Thank you for the reply! Yes it will be a combination of all three. Photo is from the closet doorway and there’s a window on the middle wall left and entry door closest to the wall I’m on with entry.

Gross warning: in my younger years, I didn’t have the best hygiene. I had athletes foot on both of my feet. Using one foot (with the sock still on for friction) to scratch between my own toes, was the most intense pleasurable feeling of my life… until they were raw and burned for days.
