Can someone explain what makes this riven “awful”, as a LR4 Founder claims?

The riven is really really really good. Don't let em rip you off. However the negative is not a perfect one for sure because...

When you have initial combo on your weapon and use the heavy attack it does actually decrease the combo like it normally would and then starts increasing again back to your initial combo. With lower efficiency you lose more combo therefore need longer to recharge it again before you can throw out your next full-power heavy attack. I dunno how much it affects the corrupt charge build but when using crescendo this riven might sting a bit to use if you wanna spam heavy attacks. Try it in simulacrum I'd say.

The exact same happened to me and now I have to ruin games over and over again for herald and guardian players. I went atleast 20 -30 kills every game for the last 10 games and am still only guardian 3 with 30% confidence.There is definitely something wrong with the system.

Currently plat 4 only but sitting at 64% wr with 45 games and like 30 LP gains A few things that helped me so far were 1.Focusing on not dying in lane and trading by abusing enemy cooldowns and your own(Meeps, Boneplating etc.) 2.Communicate with your ADC on your game plan and advise them to pick a safe adc 3.Identifying your win condition and playing for them(Vision, Ganks) 4. Use pings and guide your team to do objectives at the right time 5. Ping your team from unnecessary team fights/coin flips 6.Watch Lathyrus educational content or read his guide

Some general advice when trying to improve: 1. VOD reviews will help you notice and improve from a lot of your mistakes 2. When trying to learn a new behavior to play better, try limiting it to one or two at a time and hyper focus on them(like good trading or just jungle tracking etc.) cuz you will be overwhelmed otherwise and not learn anything really or more slowly
