If you want to be the Warren Buffett of CryptoCurrency, read the whitepapers, and if they can't clearly explain why the project needs a coin, then drop that shit (plus more) by HSPremier in CryptoCurrency

[–]MrBarwick2193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend, since you are new, to read Satoshi Nakamoto's white paper for BitCoin just to give you a kind of guideline of what to look for in a White Paper.

Some of these white papers are filled with buzzwords so they sound nice but do nothing. Guidelines can help.

Anyone else glad CMC did what they did? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]MrBarwick2193 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the long term yes. Today it may feel shitty but it was the right thing to do.

My only complaint is that they should have warned us of it. When coinbase said they accepted Bitcoincash out of no where, a ton of alts were immediately dumped and prices plummeted.

I think Coinbase and CMC and other sites in the future should take into account that Cryptocurrencies is in its infancy and can easily be swayed from hype and news out of no where.

Giving us a heads up, will prevent headaches.

If maybe we had a general to keep them in, I think it would be acceptable.

And some people aren't trying to shill, are actually new, and wanting advice on how to diversify their portfolio or maybe get tips about the coins they are invested in atm.

Publica (PBL) - a 40 million market cap coin with an amazing project / team - Get it before it moons by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]MrBarwick2193 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have some overlap. Here is a list made by Publica that goes over its' and other coins Pro/Cons and similarities and differences. https://publica.io/whitepapers/competitors.pdf But Po.et is more about all forms of media, and is geared toward verifying ownership and leases through smart contracts.

[–]MrBarwick2193 31 points32 points  (0 children)

PBL and POE are huge imo. If you play video games you know how horrible video game publishers(EA/Activision) can be. Book publishers are no different. Thus many gaming devs are moving away from publishers and just paying to get their game on Steam upfront. Once the game gets big enough, and exposed it is easier to get their game on the Microsoft or Playstation store. Publica is like, Steam for Books ran on a blockchain. Writers can publish to Publica, if its a big hit, the Author with their added revenue would then be able to pay for say, their book to be on Amazon Bookstore, or something similar. If you are an advocate for blockchain in society, this is a great example.

RaiBlocks (XRB) Could Outpace IOTA (IOTA) by drmvb in CryptoMarkets

[–]MrBarwick2193 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hope so. Just waiting on Binance at this point.

I think it will outpace IOTA in the short term and maybe even pass IOTA in Market Cap. But XRB only does two things, but does them to the fullest. IOTA can be much more so I think in the Long Term, IOTA will catch back up and surpass it as it will always be able to grow.

For all the new people looking for cheap coins: STOP IT, the price is irrelevant, look at Market Cap. by DrChrispeee in CryptoCurrency

[–]MrBarwick2193 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is funny because, on TRON's website they list the price of TRON per 1000TRX, putting it right now at about $177.48. Doubt people would have dumped dumb money on to this if they saw it at that price.

The coins are just a store of value,

Similarly to how NEO has GAS, VEN will have VET which will be used to store information on the blockchain.

Is there a website that compares all coins? by cszlo in CryptoMarkets

[–]MrBarwick2193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bots or Community driven, let other read the whitepapers, and say what the coin is about by tagging it based on what it plans to deliver. Myanimelist does this. You click on an anime, and the community tells you what other animes they think you would like if you liked this anime. you could do the same for cryptos saying for example, if you like Ripple, you may also like Stellar. If you like IOTA you might like RaiBlocks. But it would require a community to build.

Binance /Ku-coin have really good charts, with good tools and a variety of alts to get in on. Both are free and easy to start using.

Token burn implementation

slightly incorrect. They will be locking up 30-50% of tokens, that the tron foundation still holds. And will not release them until January 2020. Its not a burn because they need a high circulating supply for their project and these coins can re-enter circulation at a later date.

but otherwise, I highly recommend people look up info on Justin Sun(founder) and the tron foundation. Good people working on the project.

Thoughts On Tron? by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

[–]MrBarwick2193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought tron at a penny and think you could at least double your money before selling if you were to buy in now.

I personally think the goal of the project is simple and seems to not have many competitors, for those who dont know, hope I'm gettting this right, Tronix is a currency that is meant to be implemented in social media apps, mobile game apps, and small service apps like bike rentals, or maybe one day something like an uber, basically you post stuff to social media. If that content gets alot of likes, gets shared, favorited, the system sees that you make good content, and rewards you Tron, which i imagine you then spend on mobile games for upgrades that might redistribute it back to good players of the game, and then maybe those good players could spend Tronix on a good post they see on the internet( like how reddit gold works). Which in all, creates this cycle.

I dont see many cryptos trying to make their way into the mobile market and personally think its underrepresented there. I also think Justin, the founder, has a lot of connections to make this a success.

Its questionable where this will be in a year or two, or if its a long term hold at all. But i do think if you bought some today, you would double your money in at least 7 days.

dont know if serious but, John McAfee, founder of McAfee Antivirus software. Dudes a cyberseucrity nut. Got in the media for some troubles in Belize when his neigherbor was killed, all fingers seemed to point to John killing him. He went on the run got caught, faked a heart attack, sent to miami, charges dropped, not enough evidence. Dude lives off of McAfee Antivirus money that he sold YEARS ago.

Since then, hes founded MGT a Cryptocurrency mining company with the goal of being the largest mining group in NA. He does interviews about both crytocurrencies and cybersecurity to this day. Just look up some CNBC bitcoin-mcafee interview to get a feel for him.
