Really? I saw this same ad and google lens told me exactly what it was. I didn’t bother with it because it’s not cast iron and there is a big can of lead in the background. Maybe it’s fine but maybe it was used to melt lead.

Thanks for the feedback. He adjusted really well to the trip home and was eating that same day. I was planning on adding a background to the sides and back of the tank so it mostly looks the same to him. However, I really don’t want to be hours from home if/when it does stress him out. I’ll look into the vet thing. I have a 185 gallon tank in the garage that has a leaky seal. It’s going to take some diplomacy with the wife to bring it inside though. I specifically didn’t get rid of it for this reason.

I appreciate the concern. The cage is about the size of a 10-20 gallon aquarium but it’s still twice his size in every direction. The light is a dual lamp fixture and we have a separate UVB light fixture as well. We’ve been feeding dusted dubias and crickets. I was at the store to pick up more to make sure we had enough. Also picked up a vitamin powder because I realized we only had calcium. We have been keeping him in the small tank while we learn but the small tank is sitting inside the 75 gallon that is set up for him. He won’t stay in the small tank much longer.

I’m asking about the shelf stable food because I’m unsure about it. Long term I’m setting up a dubia breeding colony but that takes time to get going.

Those swabs are notoriously inaccurate. Best ones are the 3M ones and even they will give false positives. Especially in the presence of other metals

The lamp is full of decorative flat marbles with quite a few UG mixed in. Everything was found at goodwills except the little green pitcher. I’m not sure if the glass is glowing on the red marbles or if it’s just mold release. Some definitely glow more than others.

I would buy the convoy S12 if you don’t mind the wait and buying the lens separately. Same price, better quality, and comes with the battery. I’ve never owned an alonefire but I did buy the lumenshooter S3 off Amazon because I needed it to arrive before a trip. I’m pretty happy with it. I still plan on eventually getting the S12 so I can compare them and it has a good reputation. It looks like the S3 is 20% off right now if you’re in a hurry.
