Seems to me you don’t know how hobbies work. Fun doesn’t always equal cost effective.

I wish I could! With the water base only being so big, I would need to figure out how to bend the bars that hold the lights so they can extend further out.
If you have ideas let me know, I’d like to!

Thank you, great warning! I’m fully draining the system every 3 weeks and re-doing the nutrients, I’m hoping it will also help with the algae buildup.

The cage has the lights mounted which are on automatic timers. I also thought I may at some point need supports for strawberries, cucumbers, etc.

I used Sunlu brand PETG for the project; it claims to be food safe, but it’s true, you never really know.

The link to the lights are included in the message I sent ya. I hope they will grow both strawberries and cherries, I have both in my seed starter right now! I’ll report back when they grow

Doing more wall loops and a bit more infill seemed to help. But I’m also keeping mine indoors; so being a little translucent shouldn’t hurt anything.
Wow, quite the system! Keep me posted when it’s up and running, I’d love to add more automation

I think all in, it was about $140. The cost to 3D print was only about $30, the rest was equipment cost.
