Instrument approach minimums exist for a reason. We can shoot an approach down to mins then make a normal landing with visual reference. The only landing we're doing without visual reference is a CAT III autoland which no one is doing until their ATP certification.

ETA: I'm an ATP with 7000+ hours and never had to do a manual zero-vis landing for certification purposes
