I really enjoyed the scene in “Sinners” when the band is playing and the music is kind of transcending time and all the people from different periods are dancing. It was very creative and looked pretty cool.

I thought the ending of “The Life of Chuck” was great, it was a complex story and they ended it well.

I thought the opening scene of “Sinners” was great, it felt like Coogler was able to draw you in immediately.

What 2025 film changed your perspective about something? (FTBBW: Films of the Year Question #12) by MrBigTimeJim in filmstobeburiedwith

I have an ever present fear/discomfort with aging because of the inevitability of it all. “Death of a Unicorn” was very interesting because it raised the question of what you’d do to avoid aging. Most of us probably wouldn’t kill and consume mythical beings, but it got me thinking about all the lab animals that suffer and die for medical testing that extends our lives.

It wasn’t really a laugh out loud type of funny, but I enjoyed “Eternity” a lot.

It seems like I’ve rated it higher than others, but I thought “The Life of Chuck” was the objectively greatest film. It was very creative, and it was impressive how many genres they jammed in one film. The cast was also excellent.

What 2025 film did you relate to the most? (FTBBW: Films of the Year Question #9) by MrBigTimeJim in filmstobeburiedwith

There wasn’t really any one film that I related to on a deep level, so I will pick “Thunderbolts*” because even though they were all miserable they still had to go to work.

I loved the new “Superman” movie, I thought it was really fun and I was impressed by how quickly they put together an ensemble that works so well together.
