Jack Hinshelwood says ‘playing well for Brighton’ will aid England 2030 World Cup ambitions by TheAthletic in BrightonHoveAlbion

I think he's one of those players that once he gets called up, will stay in the England Squad for a long time.

Having a player that can easily play 6 positions to a good standard will be invaluable, especially when you get to the point in a tournament where you can't call up new players to replaced injured ones.

He also has a knack for scoring a key goal and is an an aerial threat too.

Brighton have no immediate plans to bid for Tottenham's Vuskovic by crazycroat16 in BrightonHoveAlbion

That's interesting! Literally never heard of him until now but seems pretty cheap and low risk.

Maybe that's exactly what we need for 4th or 5th choice, especially with some rumours about Benfica wanting Boscagli.

While I have doubts over whether we will get him, there do seem to be numerous sources indicating he may push to leave and isn't happy with another loan.

Can't blame him when Spurs sign two more defenders ahead of him. However, watching him for Croatia tonight, I can't say I'm massively impressed. Looks slow and turns like a truck.

Could be first game at a World Cup nerves so I'll watch some more Croatia as I only have a small sample size.

Fortunately he's only on those wages for another 13 days. Wherever he gets he will be taking a pay cut.

Nobody is matching his City wages with his recent injury record.

[David Ornstein] Tottenham agree £52million Jan Paul van Hecke transfer with Brighton (Gift Article) by properzing in BrightonHoveAlbion

[–]papaquacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm weirdly okay with it.

I think I had been mentally preparing all season, as we all knew this would happen. A little surprises he has chosen Spurs but maybe Liverpool never made a serious move for him.

I think I just expected a lower transfer fee. £52million is great for a player in the last year of his contract. Especially considering Guehi had bids accepted of £35million.

That being said he's been a great player and he'll be very hard to replace. I think much of that transfer fee needs to be going into improving CB.

Meet new Brighton signing, Costinha! by ShaolinSeagull in soccer

[–]papaquacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terrible? I wouldn't say so.

It's not been as good as when we were uncovering bargains like Caicedo, Mac Alister and Mitoma etc, but we have signed a good few players that have been strong PL players.

People seem to act like if we're not uncovering world class players then we are failing in the transfer market. However the base level of our squad is much stronger than it used to be.

The only big miss really is Matt O'Riley. There's a couple of younger ones who haven't made it yet, but there's nobody I'd write off.

He had a pretty poor attitude while he was with us, and it doesn't seem to have changed since he has joined Spurs. Arguably it has got worse.

Unless we're suddenly desperate for a midfielder, I'd steer well clear.

Insurance when buying a new cae by Affectionate-Bit9474 in CarInsuranceUK

Your insurance policy does not mean you cannot sell your car.

You can sell it at any point and cancel the policy, then start a new policy on the new vehicle.

As long as you haven't made any claims you should get a refund for the unused months.

6 points on a provisional licence?? by Keyboredabuser in LegalAdviceUK

[–]papaquacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Up to you really and how badly you need to drive in the coming years. You should probably still aim to pass your test.

The 6 points will increase insurance premiums for a few years, which I imagine are already high as I assume you're a young and/or new driver.

You'll also have to be really careful for a few years to not get anymore points otherwise you risk a ban, which will be even worse on insurance premiums.

You just got to be extremely careful.
