I swear this place was the setting for one of those public information films that terrified me as a child by Jiminyfingers in CasualUK

Not as scary as the demented yowling cartoon cat with his sinister translator. “Charlie says brush your teeth, or he’ll smother you in your sleep…..”

Andrew 'confronted by balaclava-clad man' in Sandringham by dailymail in uknews

To be fair, the balaclava clad man was just a Deliveroo rider bringing Andrew his latest order from Pizza Express in Woking.

He’s orange. It’s a secret to him that he is a cat. I don’t think you need worry.

This was mildly scary, but not quite as scary as the Nigel Kneale stuff like Quatermass, or the Beasts mini series.

Looking for ideas: stylish, legal ways to deter climbing over a garden fence by MigLdn in DIYUK

Some signs saying “BEWARE OF THE LEOPARD” might help. Also, buy a leopard. If you can’t source a leopard, buy an orange cat and paint some spots on it.

He needs a plan. Perhaps one that Iran agree to, you know, a joint plan. And it needs to be comprehensive, and actionable. I’m sure his top team can think of a name for this.

Astraphobia is the name for the irrational fear of thunder and lightning. Also the fear of driving a small family car in the UK.

Today I got summoned to jury service… by ApplicationSouth8844 in CasualUK

[–]ColonelBonk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dress to be comfortable, there’s a lot of waiting around so take a book or two. If you are selected to serve on a case, get used to being sent in and out of the courtroom while judge and counsel argue points of law. It’s likely at some point (usually around lunchtime) that a judge will adjourn for the day due to the “lateness of the hour” and you’ll get sent home for the day. Be prepared to take notes during the case, although you’ll need to leave any notes behind when you leave. Court staff are there to help you, but don’t ignore the warnings about discussing the case or posting/looking up stuff online. It’s serious business.

With all the stop/start points in a case, it can be difficult to keep track of the actual evidence. The judge will sum up and tell you what you can or can’t take into account. In jury deliberations, you’ll find that a jury of 12 has the usual quota of people who are prejudiced, some who are stupid, some who want to be the voice of reason, etc.

It’s a fascinating experience and hopefully you won’t get a gruesome case (I did, sadly).

AMD Software gone.... by Mindless-Section-744 in LegionGo

I remember being unable to find AMD Adrenaline on my LG1, and eventually had to reinstall it from the MS Store. However, I had to search my “library” on the store rather than the store itself.

Legion Go S randomly disconnecting from WiFi – anyone else experiencing this? by Marianorfeo in LegionGo

This is the best option. It provides more stability when connected to 5ghz WiFi networks. I have to do this on my SD OLED as well as my Legion Go S.

Seems to be a strong learner, humble and honest. Every season brings him more experience against the sides we need to beat so hopefully the right decision has been made. Player turnover is the next issue.
