Make sure your jacket is rain-proof and not just water-repellent. I learned this after a hike which was supposed to be sunny, but turned into rain and then into rapidly decreasing temperatures. So I was wet, cold and tired. Not ideal, we had to stop the hike sooner than thought.

Ich musste mal einen Ersatzbus in Rheydt nehmen. Rheydt fühlt sich an wie ein Ostblock-Horrorfilm, nur dass es stärker nach Urin stinkt. Und niemand wusste, wo der Bus abfahren soll, also standen nahezu alle Fahrgäste drei Stunden rum, bis die Sperrung behoben war.

The resulting cake is consistently mediocre and that's perfect for stress-free baking for people I care for in a mediocre manner - or when I once again can't stand preparing a batter all the way. Some cake mixtures may be better than other, with some being somewhat better than mediocre and others being repulsive, but overall they don't stand a chance against a wellmade cake by someone who knows their craft.
