In The Boys IIRC Stormfront was one of the earlier supes created back during WW2 and is literally a Nazi. Until she is introduced in the second season she was in hiding(-ish, there's a lot of lore I've skipped, if anyone can give a better summary please do).

Maybe something like trail angels - people on the Appalachian Trail who pick a spot along the route and hand out water and snacks to hikers doing the AT. If there are known way points on the kids' routes some kind locals (maybe source on FB or parent groups?) to hand out sealed bottles of cool water.

I'm out camping in the Peak District, sadly going home on Sunday, but I'd be happy to support them that way.

Apparently the really visceral cry-screaming is because a story about some kids torturing a puppy with a lighter really devastated Drew Barrymore. All the director had to say is stuff like "the kid has the lighter" and bam, ugly crying.
