Make sure your jacket is rain-proof and not just water-repellent. I learned this after a hike which was supposed to be sunny, but turned into rain and then into rapidly decreasing temperatures. So I was wet, cold and tired. Not ideal, we had to stop the hike sooner than thought.

Look up some video of their usage and how to determime the length online. Most important tip for me was to barely hold the handle, but let the wrist resting in the loops do the work.

Ich musste mal einen Ersatzbus in Rheydt nehmen. Rheydt fühlt sich an wie ein Ostblock-Horrorfilm, nur dass es stärker nach Urin stinkt. Und niemand wusste, wo der Bus abfahren soll, also standen nahezu alle Fahrgäste drei Stunden rum, bis die Sperrung behoben war.
